Thanks, but my 3DS is vanilla right now. No homebrew or anything. I need to get homebrew launcher working in order to downgrade, right? If I've been following the scene correctly, my only two choices are browserhax which will require me to upgrade or ninjahax which will require me to buy that game or a Sky3DS+, right?

Downgraded my o3ds to 9.0 and I can't get rxTools to run. I've tried every build I can find online, from 2.6 to the nightly from 05/12.
The furthest I can get is with the latest nightly. I can install using the browser link (dukesrg.github.io/?rxTools/sys/code.bin) and access the menu afterwards. But once I try to boot to emunand from the rxTools menu, my 3ds restarts. Same behavior booting from menuhax.

Beginning to think I fucked up with downgrading to 9.0 and want to try 9.2. Can I update to 9.2 the same way? Just put the 9.2 update folder on my SD, run tux's sysupdater and select update?

If you use FBI but are too lazy to take out your SD card to put CIAs on them or don't have double the space to install CIAs on your 3DS, use this program: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-socketpunch-gui-alternative-to-fbis-sockfile.386762/

What this does is it lets you queue CIA files on your computer, and then installs them to your 3DS in FBI (just press Y in FBI to activate the sockfile transfer). Since it automatically installs them, there's no need to copy the CIA to your SD card and you don't need double the storage space to install them.

Turns out the message said "Getting CIA file information." I'm still having trouble trying to downgrade.

Trying to install Fire Emblem Fates and also get the DLC to work. I followed the NTR guide from /feg/ and ran the bootNTR app. When I try to run the game after I get the green flash on the top screen but then get stuck in the loading screen. I can start the game just fine when I don't boot NTR, but no DLC.

Anybody know how to fix this? I asked /feg/ but no response

It's a lot easier than it seems. It's really just a few steps.

1) install fbi
2) backup your nand
3) set up an emunand
4) unlink the emunand
5) you're done
6) optional: Set up a coldboot into emunand

That tutorial is only so long because they need to explain it in a way that monkeys can understand.

5)once its done quit and this time run browserhax to install menuhax 2.1

6)once menuhax 2.1 is installed go to configurations and set it to autoboot. it will ask you to set a button to launch menuhax. tapping the touch screen is the autoboot option

7)turn off system and go download ctr boot manager from here

When i got stuck on #5 i just reset and tried again

Then i started running FTP-Pony first and then the Sysupdater homebrew.

It would go from #5 to #7

Then try again everything and got #4

Then try again several times and even just waited in the Homebrew menu for like 10 mins while doing other shit and then tried again and it finally went all the way through the menu and gave me the option to downgrade.

Afterwards it was just pressing Y and waiting.

My N3DS rebooted itself no need to do anything else and boom.

by the way, you can totally change DNS even if you did, if you do it when there's no connection near you it will give you an error and then it will let you change your internet setting.
I tested the connection multiple times and it worked, while when I try to update it just doesn't work. if it's worth anything, my SD was 4GB, it's the standard one that came with the console. Which is a European 2DS, it was on 10.3. My update files were correct, I'm 100% sure. Thing is, the downgrade actually "worked" second try, as in it didn't get stuck and installed everything. How do I get a custom theme on my emuNAND? I installed the CHMM2.cia to emuNAND, but it just freezes when I open it. Is there some other way to doit?

What's the deal with some many "-- broken" in the SafeDataFiler.
Is that normal?

One thing I've noticed about .cia files is that some of them out there are pretty bunk and others are perfect.

I have a copy of rhythm tengoku that disappears randomly from the menu, (I downloaded it ages ago theres probably a better rip), and a copy of Chibi Robo that crashes straight to menu with an error.
I've had a couple .cia freeze on me and some I don't expect to work at all (Xenoblade Chronicles 3D), work just fine.
