I don't actually go looking for pointers in the demo files, that's been handled already through a tool someone wrote in C++. All I do is generate an XML file from that, write all the filenames to another XML, then iterate through each filename and each file to find whatever I want (usually like whether or not a teamkill usually loses you the game or whatever)

And the guy who wrote the tool had most of the work done for him by the devs, since they calculate everything relevant (average damage per round, etc. etc.)

The code I wrote is only ~2000 lines long, this particular tool was about a 3rd of that

So does that make sense? there is no database involved, I just downloaded all the demos from HLTV and did the analysis or whatever.

And it's not really repeatable either, I had to use some very specific tools to do that

It's a matter of who gets the best ping to the server, be able to work out what chunk of map the enemy is on and how to play the angles of the specific aim map. Basically no real skill needed for it.

A better measurement of skill in this game is seeing how people perform in a team, and how they make use of the tools at their disposal. It's why Happy in the pre shuffle LDLC era was such a fantastic player, because he took tier 4 talent into a tier 2 team with IGL and smart plays. Most female teams are shit, even those that are 'good' were the type that my no name clan would beat easily in pcws back while we were searching for mid skill kek.

Did you read my post? As a no name clan I had no trouble taking down t1 female teams in about a dozen different scrims. The games we played vs Titan (before shox + smithzz rejoined) we got stomped by them easily, with 23-7 being the best scoreline we got vs them.

Female teams are shit. Their competition is shit. They won't improve until they join up and climb through ESL and ESEA like the rest of the teams rather than playing in their own shitty segregated leagues where 'RASH B' is still a strat that you see at ESWC.

Then again, I suppose autistic cu cks like yourself pay for their bills easily enough :^)
