Shield bash is good against melee gods because you build shield stacks depending on how many autos you land on the enemy god.

Scourge is good for autoing throughout teamfights because you get a quick sustain every 3 autos plus with froustbound you lock them down very well which guarantees you the auto attacks

Second, Athena support is pretty straight forward. CDR boots > Sov > Heartward and then situational defense depending on the team. If they're magic heavy you can grab more magic D, if their hunter is tearing you apart, more physical defense would be better. Once you get your 3 core items you look at the other team and build from there.

But I don't know when is the appropriate time to pick up jungle buff. I know the jungler is supposed to kill the buff monsters for other players, but I don't know which buff is supposed to go to which lane or which class.

Is it just a "nab the closest buff when you can when its off cooldown whenever you want to" sort of thing or is it more nuanced?

So during season 1 we had Norse conquest map, now we have Greek style map and HiRez already said that we'll get Chinese joust map. That leaves Roman and Hindu. Roman would be too similar to Greek so I'm guessing we're getting Hindu style conquest map.

It's not just that though, they nerfed both qins and executioners. She also relied on HoG a lot for early clear.
Plus Serqet and Thor still run rampant and nerf-free and they've always fucked her hard. Khepri straight up denies her passive too I'm pretty sure- need to test this.


Not saying she shouldn't have counter-play but picking her is suicide in this heavy rotation early game meta. I'm surprised Thanatos isn't more popular, the meta is designed for him.

Idk man, I've had a lot of success with Kali in the right match ups. She is NOT bad against Thor at all. Sure, Thor will have better early rotations, but that alone isn't enough to make her bad against him. The biggest danger of being bad against an enemy jungler is when they just beat your ass down, and thus easily bully you out of farm and steal your camps. Kali doesn't have this problem against Thor at all being able to stun his spin and avoid the double tap with her jump.

The nerf to exe/qin's isn't the problem for her at all. She still does crazy damage.

Her problem is that all of the top picks these days, besides a few, are straight up counters to her. Xing's so mobile and has so much cc/AA damage reduction he hinders her too much, Khepri's ult denies her passive which is too much for her to deal with, Janus should never ever die to a Kali, she can't follow him at all, Bellona's disarm is just an instant shutdown to her in the middle of a teamfight, a Sol should never die to Kali because of how short her 3's CD is.

Thing is, all of those characters are blatantly overpowered, at least somewhat. When season 3 rolls around, and they all get toned down, to the point where competing characters of the same class will see use, Kali will have an opportunity to be picked and she will be very good, even with no buffs to her at all.

In EU she wasn't picked at all
