Yes and no, I find some of it to be accurate while disagreeing with other points. Different people are going to agree and disagree with different points. Since Sega give you two character slots I'd encourage you to make a char on each ship, initial leveling isn't nearly the slog it once was and you can decide for yourself which community is more to your liking.

depending on which attack you are going for; you can get 120 atk/6pp for striking and tech, or 120 atk/4pp for ranged because no r-atk ult soul with 3pp

you can save some costs by upslotting 3s mod and flict fodders to make 4s mod/flict/junk/junk fodders for the final affix

Fun is really personal, so I can't tell you a "this will be fun for sure" style. What makes most people think it's not fun is because they're tied to a single tree, thus a single playstyle, and that gets old FAST.
My tip is get multiple trees and abuse Zondeel. That is the most fun and effective technique for me.
