planetside 2 has a lot of issues, if they had to throw in inherited velocity of players that may be here or there depending on their latecy, you would rarely manage to land a shot since what you judge to be the bullet's trajectory with inherited velocity would be completely different to how the server would see it. I'm trying to draw a circle on the ground when a unit is selected. The approaches I've found for Unity are to give a plane to each object which has a couple drawbacks but is at least simple, or to use a projector. Except using a projector is pretty complicated, I've been trying to write a shader and basically grok how the entire shit works for a couple hours now, I would've thought there's a simple solution to drawing a circle on the ground..

Do you all think I could get away with just using wireframe materials for my static actors? It fits the theme and it lets me only have to worry about making the models and not the textures.

Also, I know my emissive grid is rendering kind of weird when playing. It might have something to do with either the ambient light, draw distance, or something. I'll have to look more into it.

I don't know what RNG you're using but I guarantee it is not significantly biased in the way you describe. I have never used Unity but I don't believe you. It is literally harder to get this wrong than to get it right.

You may see what appears to be bias due to too small sample sizes. If you only take 100 numbers in the range 0..100 it's not that unlikely to see 3 of the same number when the rest show up 1-2 times, making it appear that one number comes up frequently. But if you take 10,000 in the same range, every number should show up 95-105 times. Of course if you took 10,000 numbers and 7 showed up 500 times, that would be statistically significant evidence of bias in the RNG. But like I said, nobody fucks up their RNGs this way.

Japanese VAs seem even more rigid in their paygrades according to our lead programmer who speaks business level and does our dealings there. Says female seiyuu are generally 30000-36000 yen ($250-300) per hour of voicework because the moe/idol boom oversaturated the market with girls with limited experience. A "high-end" seiyuu is about 90,000 yen per hour ($750). Someone like Wakamoto or Nobuyuki Hiyama.

Some sprucing up and I think I should be good for demo day.
I fixed for the most part blocks getting stuck together when they bounce, starting and ending has been added in. Level progression is good as well as the character knowing where those positions are. Next up I guess would be gameplay elements like light switches and other random elements.
