What about you get helmet, visor, and body armor tokens in packs instead of helmets? Each helmet or piece of armor costs 1 token and is sorted by rarity. For instance, an Uncommon Helmet Token will let you purchase any uncommon helmets that cost 1 token. Having 2 Ultra Rare body armor tokens will let you buy 2 pieces of armor of your choice that you want to customize with.

Though you can get Legendary armor tokens, the only way to get Mythic tokens is to beat the campaign on Legendary with at least 3 additional skulls, or achieving a particular rank in multiplayer (probably diamond or platinum). You can get as many of these Mythic tokens as you like, but you need to get to X rank in a playlist or beat the campaign with 3 skulls again to get them. Others you can find in packs.

This way we can at least choose our aesthetics and don't have to rely fully on the RNG for gear that we want.

Ok, so lets assume that I'm going to be playing with and against myself. I know I am competent enough in the game to handle most situations. I'm also going to assume that the team of me's that has bought reqs is going to use them like I would normally use a req, and the team of me's that is using earned reqs is going to use them knowing they are more limited. By the time we hit lvl 4 reqs, both teams have called in a Warthog. Team Bought (B) is using thier ONI hog to get kills because that's what I like to do in an ONI hog. Team Earned (E) knows that there is an ONI hog on the battlefield so they are playing it a little more cautiously and decide that in order to keep up with the ONI hogs' kills, they need to kill bosses, which they do. Ground troops for both teams have called in perhaps a few random weapon reqs or maybe a needler at most and are fighting for garages or holding them. Neither team at this point has a clear advantage over the other. Now it's around lvl 6 reqs We're starting to see things like Scorpions and maybe a Gauss hog on the field. Since Team B wasn't focusing on bosses for the first part of the match, they are now losing and start using their heavier weapons and vehicles to get boss kills, but Team E still manages to pick off a few bosses getting the last hit in. Meanwhile Team B has more players in vehicles than Team E softening up the defenses on their points and Team E now controls majority of the map, killing Team B's players from a distance with DMR's and BR's and sometimes stealing their called in req weapons while using the limited reqs they have more sparingly (ie calling in a Laser to specifically take out a banshee or tank or a sniper to keep pressure on a point while teammates rush in to take it. Team B is fighting back with heavy artilery and is managing to keep up. Score is pretty even at this point. Bases have traded hands and bosses have been killed by both teams. Warden Eternal has now shown up

Team B is using their reqs to hit the Warden hard, while Team E is taking this opportunity to flank their vehicles and kill focused ground targets giving their other teammates the chance to leach the kill. At this point it can go to either team. Neither team has a clear advantage over the other. Knowing that their reqs are more limited, Team E used them only when needed while Team B used them whenever they wanted, but because you can only call in so much during a match, Team E was able to keep up. A variety of reqs were being called in by both teams by all players meaning that even though Team E has less individually, together they have just as much as Team B and are doing a better job of using them BECAUSE of how limited they are. Win or lose 3 or 4 matches, and no individual player of Team E has used up all of their reqs and can now purchase a gold pack, or 2 silvers, or several bronze replenishing their supply of reqs.

This is how both teams of fully competent players, one with earned reqs and another with bought, have no advantage over the other. Both teams know how to combat each other and adapt to the situations on the battlefield. Granted, not every match is like this. You'll have people who don't buy reqs who suck shit at the game complaining that the people are are running around with reqs bought them and didn't earn them, and you'll have people who bought reqs and suck shit with them complaining that they just wasted a req they bought and that it's unfair.

It takes literally 2 games to get a silver. When you unlock the cert you get 3-4 copies of the item. Everyone who has unlocked the splaser/whiplash/arclight cert will have at least 3 just from the pack they received the cert in.

If even one person on team neet is intelligently calling in reqs you'll get very little use out of your p2w tanks.

The princes simply have more options and strategies open to them. Besides you keep appealing to very compotent teams countering any vehicles or reqs but the princes could do just the same. Have fun trying to take out oni vehicles etc late in the game when three princes are rocking nornfangs etc.

I could just as easily say the people without loads of bought reqs will get tilted more easily if they get killed after calling in their power weapon or vehicle.
Both are baseless. Looking at the facts the team with a wealth of reqs has an obvious advantage or at least ability to vary their game to their advantage.

I haven't been in the Halo scene since Reach and I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to answer some questions as I couldn't find what I was looking for using google.

I know Req points and packs can be unlocked playing the game and they give you customizable gear. Can I earn everything there is this way for free or are some things locked behind the req packs you buy?

I placed Platinum 1 for Team Slayer, is there any way to rank up after I place? How high up can I go? Is Plat the highest?

Does my Spartan level mean anything, as in, do I get anything for reaching a certain level?

I'd just like to throw in that yes the situation should call for certain reqs when playing not just using your best reqs because they are avalaible. Anyone can take down an Oni tank with a level 2 speed boost. Anyone can kill an ultra banshee with a rocket launcher. I've seen first hand a match where we had to go up against a team that had countless tanks and mantis but we ended up winning because we took down the bosses while they were busy fighting.

After a teammate is damaged from enemy fire you can shoot them and you won't get a betrayal it will say the other player killed them. Also you can leave two matches in both arena and war zone in 12 hour periods. On top of that you can betray two different people and not get kicked however kill the same person twice and you get kicked.
