He's kinda complicated, and stuns (most popular combos go stun crazy) shut him down as much as pussy-tier allies that don't know you can even 2v4 with him at late levels
Q is meh, borderline useless lategame in terms of damage, you use it to avoid area damage, and to regain your shields with the talents @ 4 (faster cd reduction when low health, and you pretty much are at that amount always, your shields are your protection after all, your hp is pretty low) and 7 (removes 4 seconds of your shield cd for each hero you hit, this applies when you charge and return, so you get 8 seconds per hero assuming you hit them twice)
The E is so much better ever since the buff, but still isn't worth it investing talents on it. His talents are a bit set on stone, Only 1 is the most versatile tier

tl;dr don't be a pussy, the rule as or with an artanis, if a battle looks even, then you have the upperhand since that fucker can withstand the pain if you don't back, and as with all bruisers, he brings in some pain

People saying hammer shouldn't ever siege are wrong. Hammer requires her team to play around her, as well as a favorable map.

It is difficult to get teammates to play around a hammer at low levels because theyre bad and can't see anything except their own heroes. Just for that reason it can be difficult to play her at low levels.

She's best on zone control maps like dragon shire, battlefield of eternity and infernal shrines. Terrible on garden of terror, BHB and towers of doom.

Find a good place to siege at the objective and have your team set up around you to protect you. Your team needs to fight inside your range. This is especially true after you get graduating range. You need to set up at the objective asap to allow your range to get to max.

And remember your trait gives you bonus damage to distant enemies so the farther the better.

That being said you shouldn't be sieged 100% of the time, you may need to adjust your position, or use boost to finish someone off

this game I took: Empower, Pierce, Lunar Blaze, Starfall, Overflowing Light, Ranger, Rewind

Starfall was a huge fucking mistake and I doubt I will pick it again in its current state. I thought it would be good because the enemy team was very squishy and had Morales. 100s CD is way too big, the range is extraordinarily short, the damage is lackluster and the slow didn't benefit us that much.

Ranger was a meme pick since we were shitting all over them, but I ended up wondering if it's legit. I got a lot of CDR from hitting a lot of targets, and I actually got a double kill with an awful.

Rewind for fun, we already won at that point. Usually I'd pick Storm Shield.

Anyways, Lunar Blaze is amazing and I just don't know if I should ever pick anything else. People always underestimate the range of your stun. Overflowing Light is also amazing but I think Shrink Ray would be better against scary melee assassins (or Sonya?)

Nobody can get carried in this game. In dota, a single or two carries can carry a team of actual spastics and could probably win 2v5 aswell if they got the proper farm earlier on (which is where the 3 spastics come in)

In HotS, if one spastic gets caught out in the late game, it doesn't matter if the other 4 are the top 4 players on the leaderboards. They won't be able to win a fight 4v5 and will objectives and/or structures.
