With the rank changes ive dropped from LE to DMG. This doesnt bother me at all. Frankly, once things settle i`ll be quite happy (desu I expect another drop shortly if things carry on like they are).
My experience over the last week in matchmaking has been pretty horrible. I almost always queue solo (most of my friends are a lower rank, although it wont be long before i start to queue in premades with lower ranked friends judging by my latest experiences...). In the last 7 or 8 matches i have had 2 which i would say was really good fun, we had a laugh playing and winning or losing wasnt such a big deal.
In all the others there have been far too many people being generally horrible to play with, talking constantly trying to tell me how to clutch a round (which is something I am actually pretty decent at doing more often than not), people going afk, people quitting the match, pushing too far when there is no need and then complaining when we get left in 2v5 etc (I had one match on overpass where I played B site - the A site team failed every single round to hold the site, forcing me and another in to a 2v5 every single round then complaining when we failed - bottom fragged that half - went T side and ended up top by a long way and we almost pulled it back for the win).
I am old enough now to be the father of most of the players I meet online (been gaming for 25+ years) so its not like these people upset me, I just find it frustrating that what is meant to be an enjoyable 5v5 match turns very quickly in to a bitch fest.
Muting players isnt something I want to do (although i have if they are so bad even their calls are useless) because they might have that important piece of info that helps win the round for the team.
How do others deal with this and has anyone else noticed any changes of late in the general attitudes of players online in their respective ranks?

Get some music and take an hour or two and you should be done.

dm is the best if you get at least 700 points per game, which is easy if you have good aim or if you dont have good aim if you use the bonus weapons
if you cant do that, casual is the next fastest for semi skilled players, depending on how slow the casual server is being played. if all rounds go to time then casual is slow
arms race is the most dependable and consistent in terms of score/hour for a lower skilled player

yes, many of the maps are considered "CT or T sided" this would be debatable amongst players but maps like Nuke and Inferno are CT sided

theres no different types of drafts in CSGO like captiains/singledraft/random. but Esports matches are slightly different to matchmaking and you can trigger these changes with console commands
