lolgen started ironically/humorously using the term ADC, possibly to mock bad players commonly used terms; eventually enough new people had joined that they honestly thought the term was ADC, while people that used Ranged AD quit the game or even moved to ADC themselves instead of using the acronym RAD (which would have led to people such as yi, yasuo etc. using the term MAD)
ADC being used to describe AD caster is very easily recognizable to the lolgen today as a joke, but people are being cycled in and out and (thanks to marksmen being pinned by riot) may actually be applied as such by the end of 2016 unironically by the average player

RADC, RADB, RAPA, MAPP... honestly acronyms could have been so much simpler. Hell I like RAD alone, it's just so RAD!
