I did. That guy wasn't following his orders, he should have withdrawn and made his report once it became apparant the US troops he'd been send in to find had gone rogue, which was the extent of his mission.

'Danse' is most likely a synth infiltration unit, one that's managed to work it's way into an extremely dangerous position for the Brotherhood. I let it say it's peace for old times sake but it was getting a laser bolt to the head regardless of what it said.

Even accounting for the fact it may actually be sapient and genuinely didn't have orders to infiltrate the Brotherhood high command, it's a massive security breach, the Institute could have been covertly collecting data from it without it's knowledge for years and it's continued existence represents a security threat in the event that data HASN'T been transmitted, since he's one pass-phrase away from having his personality wiped and being taken back to the Institute with comprehensive data on the Brotherhood of Steel.

For a start, he's a random mook, not the head of the SRB. Why would he need to know? Basic opsec, you don't tell guys involved in frontline combat (particularly the often solo work of the Coursers) sensitive information they don't need to know. If X6 was captured by the Brotherhood and he had a database of every infiltrator in his skull, it's be a nightmare for them.

Secondly, even if Danse was one of the synths those Railroad spastics decided to give a personality wipe to and release into the wild, it doesn't change the fact that he's one codeword away from returning to his default state of a loyal institute drone, completely with decades of operational information on the Brotherhood, as well as up to date information of shit like their numbers, deployments etc etc.

Just finished Dead Money.

The ending where I got stuck in the vault made me panic IRL so much. When the guy's note told me not to open his files because it'll lock me in forever I thought it was a bluff and opened it anyway thinking I could still get out. When the game wouldn't let me move and it faded to black I was legitimately spooked. Being trapped in a room forever with no escape is one of my biggest fears.

I'm not happy that I failed so many dialogue checks in this DLC, Imma level up in the Mojave and do some random quests first before I move on to Honest Hearts to avoid this from happening again.

It's an infiltration unit, it's supposed to engender sympathy and other emotional responses from it's targets, that's how it's climbed so high in the Brotherhood, they've programmed it to be the perfect soldier. For a start; no other infiltrators in the BoS, even at low levels, suggesting they had no need since they already had an extremely reliable and well placed source of intelligence.

If someone told you that you were a synth, would you just believe it immediately? No, you'd expect there to be a mistake, or someone trying to set you up. You wouldn't just go 'Oh well, seems legit, better flee from everything I've known and loved all my life'.

However a few hours later, having established there's no way to salvage it's mission, is quite happy to be destroyed. The weak excuse is that 'it paniced'. Sure.

He's blatantly an infiltration unit, everything points to it, if he'd still been at Maxson's side when Prime marched on the Institute, he would have suddenly had a twitching fit then calmly shouldered his laser rifle and ventilated Maxson from behind.

Welp, fuck this game I cant beat it, it's bugged. I have to speak to Proctor Ingram to do the Liberty Prime quest and I can't do it because I'm locked into a dialogue arc for the Inside Job quest and that quest is bugged as well (she won't give me the holotape back)

Every time I try to talk to her he keeps asking for the holotape back and I never get it, so I can't do the dialogue options for the Liberty Prime quest. So not only does Bethesda not programming their games properly fuck me over for the 1,634th consecutive game they've made, their stupid dialogue system fucks me over as well, just like it has all fucking game long. Seriosuly, who the fuck could have predicted a voiced protag and a dialogue wheel would've severely limited dialogue options? Oh right, literally everybody after their E3 reveal. Way to deliver, you fucking retards. What a disappointing way to end a disappointing game. Now I just have to hope this gets fixed in the next patch, but it's probably an uncommon game bug so it won't and I'll never beat it. Skyrim al over again.
