Yes but it Kind of loses its impact when that's only the case directly because that's what the mechanics of the game dictate. The systems and management mechanics the game is built around just don't support the depth required to allow any other approach or set of priorities viable.

Soldiers aren't anything other than mooks/spreadsheets only because Kojima and Co. couldn't be fucking assed to design a degree of interaction or nuance to the systems, mechanics, and menus involving them, and it's kind of hard to actually care about endlessly replaceable, procedurally generated henchmen when the game itself never treats them as anything other than that.

This doesn't happen. Being a software developer I can tell you with 100% certainty that the only time any work gets done is crunch time. Those guys did as much "location" scouting (read vacation scouting) as Konami allowed. Those guys probably didn't even start developing the game until two years after it was announced. Don't be fooled by demos. It doesn't take more than two weeks to get something like the hero's way demo to get to a point that it looks nearly done when someone from the dev team is showing it off, because they practice for hours making sure you don't see the T posing and shit falling through the floor or the clipping.

To upgrade it, you need to do that more times. Five for bronze and theorized to be about 25 to 35 for silver, and 50-100 for Gold.

You could boost it by messaging people on the FOB list and seeing if they'd be interested in doing an exchange (you invade their FOB with them present, but they help you win, and in return, they retaliate on your base and you help them win.)

Some other anon speculated that Miller wanted revenge from Skull Face with a Mother Base built in the ocean like the previous one just to make revenge sweeter.

I like to think that Mother Base eventually gets dismantled shortly after Skull Face death only leaving behind 'resource rigs' that will eventually be abandoned once resources run out.

Which bionic arm is most cowboy? I was thinking regular, but it has a wristwatch on it. Silver is a bit too clean and shiny, though.
Otherwise I think this is the most cowboy-like equipment set-up you can have. Smokes, a hidey box/barrel, and a firebomb. Pretend the magazines are rocks.
