Yeah. It's only 4-6 hours and it's worth it.

My only advice is this because some people don't realize it and make a mistake: if you're gunning for the best ending, every single fight can be solved diplomatically somehow. A lot of people can't figure out how to resolve a fight and end up accidentally killing characters.

There's only one fight you can't avoid in the game and you'll know when it happens because the character will literally remove the option to resolve it peacefully.

Now get out before you get spoiled. Going in blind is important.

That could be a horrible but funny fic idea, Papyrus accidentally killing a whole bunch of people (possibly the humans who fall down?) and becoming respected/feared/revered for it.

He never learns the truth of what he's done, and everyone thinks he's a stone cold motherfucker who shrugs everything off with flippant jokes.

He keeps the dead humans in his shed and is delighted when they start decomposing, because clearly they're going back to their skeleton-roots cause of how much they admire and idolize him. People shit on Alphys for running from her problems and being a coward, but ultimately it's Asgore's responsibility. LSD anon would be that 2pure character muh tacitly/LSD anon otp that would be almost impossible to get with because they would sooner encourage you to find your soulmate than to entertain the idea of being your soulmate. They'd be nice to you always, even if they aren't interested.

Lewdanon would be the arrogant type who isn't interested in being with anyone, really. To get with them you'd have to first prove your worth to them in some feat or something.

Doggoshit eating anon would be the very quick to hop onto a relationship, and would then cling to you like a puppy.

The game makes it pretty clear he's a terrible person to rule, Gerson outright says basically everyone knew Toriel was really running things, it's not surprising things went to shit when they did.

Even in the game itself he shows what a useless ruler he is. He knows a human is passing through and could kill any number of monsters, but instead he delays how long he has to deal with it by sitting in his castle and probably hoping you just don't survive to make it there.

I would think the royal guard or Alphys would have told him, but they both know how he is and might very well keep it a secret so they could deal with it themselves instead of burdening the king. Especially since Undyne is very vehement about getting your soul herself, and Alphys planned to try to get Frisk to stay peacefully in the underground so neither Frisk or Asgore would have to die.

The ruins were locked, but I'm pretty sure that if the monsters were capable of building sciencey shit like the Core and architecture like the palace then if they'd pooled their efforts they could have opened a locked door.

As for the kids, while she was unquestionably irresponsible, she only really had the choice between being their jailer or letting them go. She could have (and I argue should have) accompanied them, but her reasons for not doing so may have included fear of drawing attention to the kids with her presence, or backlash by disgruntled citizens. She didn't get along with the monsters in the ruins at all, and they're the weakest things about. Maybe stronger ones could have actually caused her trouble.
