I didn't find many of the locations that interesting, the weapons weren't that cool (especially the rocket launcher thing, it felt really underpowered), and Ulysses' motivation seemed... vague at best. I also hate fighting tunnelers.

AI pathing is so bad I doubt anyone can even make it up the stairs into the crappy, impromptu high rise where I neatly stacked twenty seven mattresses. Fuck me, I can barely squeeze in there, it's so crowded.

Nah, death mountain with super mutants instead of gorons, Jacob's Town, actually interesting and atmospheric vaults (especially the one with the bioligical experiment), the entire New Vegas area, the settlements for the clans, the casinos, that RAD town that actually has unique kind of ghouls with special costumes and other shit.

That the world is empty is actually a good thing. It's Fallout. It's post-apocalyptic. Fallout is supposed to be immersive, not filled with generic content. Every single location in New Vegas feels somewhat special. In F4 you actually hate finding new locations, you get tantrums when you see a new shitty fabric on your compass. every building I went in obviously shared the same architectural style"they should given they were all built by the time people" but I never felt like any of them shared the exact same rooms/layouts.

Durability was just a bad mechanic. Solid idea but the rarity and value of weapon repair kits tended to force people to horde a spare weapon, and out of fear of that being gone, they'd horde a second, or use a looted one. Same for armor. Truth be told Fallout has always been about hording shit. In 1 Stimpacks were currency due to a sell buy imbalance, guess what people avoided using....stimpacks. In 3 NV and 4 it's weapons and armor, so saccing one to repair was always contradictory to the players economy when they could just wait 10 minutes and sell one or two of the items for caps.

Durability in the fallout universe just boils down to punishing the player with inventory management and item upkeep for doing what the item was intended to do. Be used.

New Vegas dialog and story telling was so far ahead of 3 and 4 that debating it is pointless. Even a couple months out form 4 people were debating House vs Legion vs Independent citing the dialog and quotes. It's no soul reaver but its good.

Fallout New Vegas had interesting locations if you took the time to think about why they were there. There wasn't any instant gratification lolxd places like little lamplight or whatever, but I enjoyed how each NCR outpost I walked up to had a story waiting to be discovered as it pertained to the war. To each their own, it was most definitely much more bland the second time through once those stories were exhausted.

At this point I believe you actually just don't know what the words "emotions" or "feelings" mean. There are synths even living inside the Insitute that are basically normal humans, they act exactly like normal humans. Shaun, that girl which even has a fucking husband (although I'm not sure if he is a synth too). There is absolutely no point in creating those except for having an edgy story with edgy decisions (keep the robot alive or kill the evil human trying to hurt it to find out how to get rid of them - of course only a retard would pick the robot and this choice is some 2/10 writing shit) and twists (oh shit, he actually was a synth!).

Not that anon, but why produce so many gen 3 synths when they have so many errors that cost you so much effort to correct and when you run the risk of potentially exposing your whole organization to the commonwealth? They are aware of the gen 3's errors, yet they keep mass producing them. They are aware that gen 3's keep running away, yet they keep making those damn things.
On my first playthrough I sided with the Institute and one of the random events that happened when I was running around inside the institute was two synths talking to each other. One of them said to the other that he was feeling bad or something like that, and the other said that he shouldn't go around revealing those things.
So the institute knows the synths have errors, the synths know themselves that their feelings are an error, yet the institute keep producing gen 3's and gen 3's keep getting feelings and escaping. This doesn't make sense.

The worst part about Fallout 4, aside from poorly fleshed out factions that aren't the brotherhood, is how tightly packed the map is in some place. You can literally be fighting mutants who are fighting brotherhood and hear gunfire of Bandits killing Ghouls on the other side of the building.

It's like my character is the anti-mr rogers just bringing chaos into a nice place by just showing up.
