I'm making a Bane roleplay mod that introduces Venom, which I've loosely interpreted as a roughly 25% more potent form of PsychoBuff. It's applied via a standalone Hazmat Tank. I'm looking for input on the concept and suggestions for drawbacks/addiction.

+30% Damage
+4 Strength
+4 Endurance
+80 Max Health

There needs to be a drawback/addiction effect or else this is just a crappy cheat mod, but I can't figure out how to apply an addiction effect on unequip (likely need GECK, but I have some ideas for a workaround) or even what the drawback should be. -15 Damage resist is one idea, but that defeats the purpose of the extra health and endurance, and 15 is not very significant anyways.

I also don't really like the hazmat tank, it has visual bugs and just looks bad, so I'm playing with the idea of a custom pipboy and just pretending that there's a tube which connects it to the face mask in the style of cartoon bane/saying "fuck it the pipboy is the injector."

I need GECK to achieve my final vision, which would be the full gamut: Craftable Venom chem, an armor which works like Medic Pump but uses Venom from your inventory, super potent addiction effects so you are compelled to make as much of the drug as you can or suffer, requiring a certain amount of endurance (translated as Willpower, some kind of dice roll like charisma dialogue options) to overcome the addiction after X hours, and a subtle green tint on-screen effect.

Any thoughts or opinions on this?

This picture is what motiviated me to make my alternate version of freeze in the game.

Still in the building process for gear but for the most he uses power armor as his suit *need a good helmet that isnt the pa helmet still* and tends to rely on any weapons that cause freeze effects. Since I dont have anything past the cryo gun and I have shit for ammo for it atm I pretty much have been using lasers and plasma guns atm.

Since I've started playing with Dogmeat as a companion, I've been thinking.

How plausible is it to have a dog with you in surviving this kind of wasteland if it's just the two of you? It's true that dogs are man's best friend, but that's kind of assuming that there are more people around. If you're trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland alone, would a dog be a great help or would it actually get in the way by for example running off too far or attracting unwanted attention when silence and discretion is paramount?

I don't really know a lot about dogs, obviously, which is why I'm asking. Basically, is a dog still man's best friend if it's just the two of you?

Going without venom reduces health, brings most stats very low. Possibly lowers health constantly over time to the point where going without it will literally kill you. It should also give damage resistance, I think, and have a seperate carry weight boost. Maybe a version of that charge power armor has? Don't know how much can be attached to a drug

Keep at this mod since I like it's concept and once you get it working as planned *geck or not* it'll be one of my goto mods in my game for a few reasons.

That's my intent for the final version of the mod, but to achieve that I need to be able to create a script that works like Medic Pump. To do that, I need to wait until someone figures out how to encode/decode FO4's .pex file format or Bethesda releases the G.E.C.K.

I don't want it to outright kill you, but it's an interesting idea and I'll see what I can do with it. I feel like having the opposite, negative effect that the other anon mentioned would certainly feel like without it you're going to die.

+4 strength will give you slightly more carry weight, +4 Endurance slightly improves health (I think?), and I feel that a straight +80 Health fulfills the role of damage resistance without allowing for stacking shenanigans.

Thanks. The game has alot of stuff in it to make a alternate reality freeze and well Nora is your wifes name so alot of it loosely ties together. Think of a world where freeze saved his wife and they had a kid and than the bombs dropped and all this fuckery played out. No blue skin or freeze suit but im working with what I have.

It all depends on what you want to do, my soldier minuteman dudeguy spent a lot of time and effort into The Castle, filled with shops, guardposts, a job for everyone and at the end of the playthrough it was at a staggering 25 people because of my grape mentats addiction.

If you play on PC, remember the scrapall command in the console to get the most out of the castle because the prebuilt shit takes up most of it

What mods are must have? I'm just afraid of these early ESPs causing bugs, so I've been sticking to loose files for the most part.

Also, is SSEX worth using compared to homemaker?
