Torp bomber kills BS ratters whose tanks are already compromised by rats. Especially if they have sentries out. Pretty much the reason ratting is all VNIs, Gilas and Isktars now, safe from torp bombers but vulnerable to neuting recons like the Pilgrim.
Look at the resist profile for your target, you'll never kill a highsec miner in a torp bomber, lowsec you'll probably find ventures, which are +2 warp strength and low sig, better to kill with a dessie.

this doesn't actually happen. the rats all shoot you as soon as you decloak, then the rattlesnake/gila puts 1500/800 dps on you. you cannot solo kill/tackle ratters in fun ships since ccp broke the ai. thanks council of nullsec.

Yeah i had that happen in VFK the first time i tried to kill a ratting BS in goon space.

This year i killed a few BS ratters in Provi, no trouble from rats. They judge on range as well as dps output and switch to whoever is the baddest ass on the field. If the ratter has already plowed through three waves of rats you're good.

If you log off your ship stays in space for one minute, it emergency warps, but i got one minute to scan you down. If you have aggro, i have 15 minutes to get you.
New mechanic because logging off used to be a kind of tank. Hilarity can ensue: scanned down a ship, killed it, pod warps off, this is all while he's offline, scan down pod, get to the spot but pod has left the game.
Set up hic and about 35 guys, bored home def fleet. When the dude logs back in, he's our pet in a bubble for about 30 minutes until we kill him.
Thought he would self destruct, when he stayed we figured he must have had implants, sure enough, 250m set of combat implants yummy.
Even aggro from or with rats gives you a logoff timer. Safe logoff means you are not in fleet, not cloaked and have no mods running, which gives me 30 seconds to scan you.
All in all, it's made the old logoff tank a little fairer.

Train whatever 'big' ships you want to use, and train the skills needed to fit them how you want, especially with t2 guns. You'll want to have perception and willpower for this, and +2 or +3 implants.

Then remap to train stuff like drone skills, shield skills, you know, whatever doesn't use per/will that you want.

Also be aware that skillpacks are coming in early 2016 as confirmed by Seagull so don't fret too much if you mess up, you'll be able to buy chunks of 500,000 SP for around ~300m ISK when that time comes. Focus on making some dough and having fun for now.

Industry is extremely slow compared to PVP. The demand for PVP in many alliances is far higher than many industrialists can ever hope to mine and produce. This is particularly why alliances rely on importing minerals from highsec to build ships out in nullsec or to just bring ships from highsec. Nullsec mining isn't that much better in overall yield than lowsec mining or highsec mining. Yes you get those "better ores" but its not the ores they after, its the mineral content.

So yes, EVE is a thriving economy because of this efficient trade going on. Its simply too slow and difficult to have your own mining fleets and industry out in nullsec. Someone a few years ago did the math after the removal of the drone looting thing and determined that you'd need to have at least 5 fully skilled miners and 2 industrialists for every 2 PVP-ers. The rate of losing ships is so much greater than what industry can produce in nullsec so thats why they derive everything from highsec.

Everything armor fit. It's the equivalent of a Selynne's armor hardener that adapts to whatever you're being attacked by. The only reason it hasn't been nerfed to fuck is that it isn't as good in fleets. It makes you a fucking steel wall in solo roaming.

The best part of this: it has zero stacking penalties. And since it provides 15-15-15-15 armor resists across the board as soon as you turn it on, it provides the exact same armor tank to you even in its least-optimal configuration as a Damage Control does, meaning you can replace DC with adaptive hardener on any armor fit that can spare -4.2 gj/s. The module also now transfers resists proportionally, so if you're being hit by 90% EM and 10% kinetic it'll transfer way more EM than kinetic.

This pilgrim, being hit by exclusively explosive for example, ramps up to well above 600 dps tanked when the adaptive hardener transfers everything into explosive (takes 20 seconds, 17 with heat). You can literally tank an orthrus in a PILGRIM with reactive hardener.


The kind of tank it gives you in slaved machariel fits is unbelievably retarded. None of the fitting programs have reactive hardener modeled but you can use your own calculations, keep in mind it doesn't have stacking penalties with other hardeners or with damage control.

Bashing is shooting structures with a lot of HP for an hour or more, like during a wormhole eviction. Oracles have a high dps to cost ratio, like all attack battle cruisers, but since they use lasers they have infinite ammo so you can full afk instead of reloading every five to ten minutes.

All-Out doesn't fly BC/BS too often in pickup fleets; normally we stick to cheap destroyer gangs to teach new people what's going on. That doesn't mean we can't kill anyone - our last roam we killed 500m+ and only lost about 80m.

Our people do fly bigger stuff on occasion. Noot has been using canes solo for the past couple of months and is enjoying them a lot, which is why I mentioned them.

There is no way hisec can support this or make thios much stuff or isk. Hisec has no 16km radius rocks. Whoever did those numbers a few years ago was before they changed the yields on ores. It's crazy now, mining is a thing.
I used to build from reprocessed L4 mission loot, that was nerfed almost in half.
Solo procurer is not gonna make 50 to 100m a day in hisec, not without spending all damn day and eating whole belts.

CFC in general has been the largest proprietor of capsuleers and part of the hate comes from their moniker as well as simply being the biggest alliance around. But that idea is wrong. Go to any of the vast quiet tracts of renter null, there's maybe seven neutrals in a region, broken up by the odd gang of about 12 or 20.
Intel channels mean only terribads get killed, the roamers fun more often than not comes from running into each other.
Hisec has gankers and absolute pigeon crumbs as far as any resource goes. Reprocessing and mineral yields were changed recently as a big nerf to hisec.
Even so, i'd like to see up to date figures, because there just isn't any way hisec mining could support the cap losses, the structure loss that is in null now, and it still hasn't got as busy and chaotic as ccp wants it to.
I can get more of every mineral in minutes than any hisec miner can in hours and there's 5 year old miners in hisec who've never seen or heard of spodumain.

You could use any of the combat recons for it, but pilgrim and stratios are most popular because the neuts shit on ratter active tanks or passive tank hardeners, and the bonused drones just win the DPS war at that point. They'll win if they have a cap booster but it's not likely they have one.

You probably want a stratios, it's 600+ drone DPS compared to 300 or less for pilgrim, has way lower align time (so you can get in before they notice you in local and warp out), etc.
