Hey /hg/, a lot of things are keeping me from Halo 5, the campaign being the cheif reason, but I wanted to know some things about multiplayer. Are the req cards single use per game, or do you assign them to slots to use throughout multiple games? Can you unlock any armor without req packs? How much does CoD style ads affect the gameplay? I was thinking about getting the game anyways for the multiplayer, but if the games unlocks are based solely around rng, I might as well stick with Destiny.

some req unlocks are permanent meaning if you get a battle rifle you can use it in a warzone match as soon as you score enough points to get ot level 3 in that game (about 2min)

other reqs like tanks and rockets are obtained through reqs- if you dont have a card to use you cant use it and there is a cool down

otherwise arena modes are just like the halo you know and love

armor unlocks have been decent to me even though I am wanting some I havent gotten yet

That cylinder thing outside the front door of the base has an invisible wall around it where bullets cannot get through. Grenades can, though. At least with crouch jumping all objects were basically equal in terms of your ability to jump on them but now mantle makes it weird.

With basic geometric objective you can usually tell but natural things like rocks are just guesswork.

Also am I the only one who thinks the crouch jump mantle onto the armory ledge from the box is awkward? It feels like ti should be too high but it works.

Just want to point this out there.
If you don't have a high number of assists in warzone / warzone assault, regardless of your kills or deaths, you are playing it wrong.
You should be shooting every spartan and vehicle in sight, regardless if you'll get the kill or not. Putting a mag of BR into a scorpion might not seem like much, but it adds up.

I put deadzone to 0 though, because I like doing small movements, not being forced to use big ones.

Another spot it's useful at is on the arc garage balcony trying to get on the pillar to roof. With a normal jump you have to be right on the end of it but a crouch jump lets you mantle from the side more.

Might be a bit late on this one, but on battle of noctus you can just jump up and sit on top of the monument. Just pick anyone that comes in to cap it off, and make sure you don't miss and give them enough time to realise you're above them.
