This is silly angst-bait. In the King Papyrus ending, the monsters accepted the ruling to screen humans with puzzles and decide what to do with them. They're naturally peaceful creatures, probably the only reason that they were ever ok with killallhumans.exe in the first place was the raw memory of their young and innocent prince being murdered, and that was hundreds of years ago.

Chara was the kid that fell and became friends with asriel, and frisk is the kid you're playing as. Nobody calls you chara, those just happen in flashbacks and flowey just thinks you're chara.

Other Souls wanted to help another human, or at least help you beat their captor, no one in Undertale, except maybe Chara, is truly evil.

Chara is the first human who fell, some people mistake you for them, but at the end of Pacifist everyone learns that "the human" is named Frisk.
You are the first human Undyne has meet.
Sans probably made the promise right before Frisk fell down, so it didn't apply to any of the other kids.
