Found the issue. In my attempt to configure MGSV styled controls for playing Ranger, I set L2+R2 for main attack, with L2 being set to function 2. You can't move while holding function buttons, since you can bind some things to function+L-Stick. Similar deal with how I set up walk.

I can definitely see playing this when it goes live from what I've seen of the closed beta.

Feels like there's so much to do that I'm even underwhelmed in the early levels. Worried about class balance though, it's feeling like there are a couple of classes that completely outshine everyone else...hoping that changes later on.

combos in bdo's aren't actually tied to one another, its just impossible otherwise to land a stupidly overpowerful spell unless you've knocked an enemy on his ass and he's unable to move
