I'm really enjoying the game so far, and I love that there's actually some kind of plotline from the get-go instead of just having a disconnected series of quests that might have some plot near endgame like in most MMOs.

For me.I avoided doing the relic quests, I figured it was for shitters. Had an early t13 clear, got my weapon early on...then they go and make the shitter relic weapon the best. That pissed me off.

This time around I feel compelled to complete the relic quest so that I won't be left out of having the best weapon down the road.

Had they not made the relic eventually be the best weapon, I would not bother with anima at all.

What do you play as?
On the second phase as a melee you should first put priority on where the marching horses are coming from. If the safe zones are far from the boss and everyone is clumped up, pull off and position yourself away from the other dps and healer to get ready for aoes and the chain. It's safer to back off and stay alive to dps again rather than staying on and dying because of muh fflogs parsing. Most melee classes have a teleport skill anyway to zip right back to the boss.

If you're ranged, you have it easy, stay a ways out but keep note of where the healer is so you can stay in range for healing from altar pyre. Casters have it easier as you can just slam sprint and truck the fuck where ever.

Same for healers, just sprint the fuck around.
