There is a horrible shot delay between the mouse click and the tank actually shooting. That alone kills like 80% of cool plays you could do.

The fighting is very static and while the maps are bigger than in WoT they are even more corridor-y.

Progression through the tree isn't consistent.
In WoT when you unlock a new tank it usually plays at least a little bit different than the previous tank (e.g. Type 58 -> T-34-1).
In AW unlocking a tank feels more like unlocking a new module for the tank you already have (e.g. BMP-1 -> BMP-1P). The gameplay remains the same. There are positive exception though.

In it's defense, though, AW does a lot of things right and just because there's a lull in the player count atm I don't think it's dead yet.
They need to patch the bugs, flesh out the trees and implement their interesting PvE ideas.

I'm hoping, since it is only v .11, this stuff will get fixed. The currently low pop isn't enough to keep me away, because the queue times are actually pretty good, and it's a legit fun game still.
As far as the progression, that's easily made up for by the better variety of tank lines and how vehicles fill their roles.

Can someone please give me some tips on how to play the GLORIOUS COMMUNIST MORTAR OF DEATH?

I try to do the best I can but I cant get used to the playstyle.
I am clarly doing something wrong.
I cant effectively trade with other heavy tanks the normal way (poke out shoot go back) because L0LNO vstab so aiming time leaves me open for just too much time and I get raped before I even can aim a full shot.

That being said its also slow as a slug so I cant properly engage faster moving targets because when turning turret to follow a target the accuracy goes to shit.

I just dont know what to do.

It seems Im never in the right place at right time, no matter how careful I try to be about my surroundings theres always one faggot that was not scouted popping out of nowhere when im realoading that reks me.
My armor is also paper.
I cant tank anything.
Its worse than the armor of a KV1S literally everything pens me no matter where Im shot.

Currently Im carrying vents, rammer and gun laying drive.
I carry 21 HE and 15 AP gold rounds.

Im getting frustrated as fuck.
I absolutely love this tonk but it seems that I just cant do good in it no matter what.

You have no idea how many times i had a heavy in the circle of my crosshair the target was literally as big as the circle and I was almost fully aimed yet I shot and for some unknown reason my shot went 30 degrees off.
At less than 10 meters.

It more just impacts MM. Generally you should see a balance of tiering in any given tank (ie top tier, +1, +2). This doesn't work in NA at certain times because it's not actually possible to set up certain tiers. Try playing a tier 4 on NA at most times and it's go directly to tier 5/6. I kept track playing some tier 4s during that tier 4 XP contest, and out of about 60 matches I was top tier 10 times. Tier 6 and non-prefs 8s tend to get shit on as well.

That's the problem with low pop.
