In Pathfinder at least, (Which is effectively the same thing as D&D), then revival is just 7000 gold's worth of diamond dust away and you're right as rain. 5000 for the Raise Dead, and 2000 for the two Restorations to get rid of the two negative levels.

If there's more than two or three you'd be looking forward to, go for it. It's worth it to try even if you find out it's not for you. I was watching my friend play the game for the first time, and when flowey crashed the game he started freaking out. I think he genuinely thought the game crashed and he would have to fight Asgore again(he was having dificulty doing it), and he was also heartbroken he actually had to fight Asgore.

That's why I love this guy in the thread who doesn't want to kill anything and would quit the game if he actually had to kill Asgore. You can tell they are immersed and really love the game and it's characters. It's so sweet.

Yeah, the immersion was fucking fantastic. As a game Undertale is fun but flawed, but as an experience it's hard to top.

I tried surviving Asgore's battle like 20 times, because the memory of what I'd stupidly done to Toriel (and then fixed by reloading and gotten shat on by Flowey for it) was fresh in my mind. I really, really did not want to see another monster-soul shatter into bits because of my actions.

And when I beat Flowey, I spent a good five minutes just staring at the screen, trying to weigh up whether it'd be right for me to let him live on as a threat to all the characters I cared about, or whether even something like him deserved mercy. I'm glad I made the right choice in the end.
