Nah fuck this boss. Phase 1 was fun to learn but Phase 2 is fucking dull. Throwing slow-moving projectiles whose depth is really fucking hard to tell because of the camera if you're at range, and slapping out moves that are a real fuck to dodge at close range, all while gripping you with his horsecock so he never stops facing you.

I think with about 40 BLt, you'd be oneshotting most builds with L2 so long as you're invading in a twink capacity.

He will send out three waves in both directions (fogdoor and ocean), the middle wave is aimed at you

You can avoid the wave entirely by simply getting to the fogdoor, as it doesn't reach there, or you can go out into the water, where it travels longer and has a bigger space between the waves

Otherwise, dodging/i-framing it is possible, but can be a bit tricky. Usually easier if you are locked onto the Orphan and dodge/quickstep the wave coming from the side

I highly doubt this. I feel like it might just be the opposite of what we typically saw in Bloodborne. Humans who ascend to Great Ones don't keep semblances of their human past, you wouldn't guess that they used to be human when you originally look at them. Maybe Kos was a projenatormfor Humanity, or maybe Orphan rubbed off on her while he was in the womb and she took on human characteristics.

I just realized I only ever did physical builds. Sure, I've leveled Arcane a bit for the tools, but mostly for utility, like beast roar and arcane weapon buff.

Are elemental/arcane playthroughs feasible without Chalice Dungeons? I.e. are story gems even enough and plentyful for elemtanl damage? I have 3 characters with yharnam stone, so I could do it again, but I'd rather not tbqh familia

I think I know of a waning one, near the bloodsucker at the lowest point in a backalley in cathedral ward but that about it.

Also what's generally better? Fire I'd guess because of the beast to kin ratio, right?

Also what weapon? Just a saw spear and call it a day, or invest in extra strenght to wield a pizza cutter for PVE madness of absurd proportions? Sounds fun

cheese the first chalice with gauntlets (insanely easy), this guarantees at least 1 good fire radial. if you want you can remake and rush it again
the whole game is now pretty easy. use tonitrus for anything fire-immune

you can go 70 arc for tools, or 50 + 20-25 str for hybrid weapons, personally i much prefer hybrid weapons, and if you're dreaming of a fire whirligig you might as well enjoy wheel, MLGS lasers, and good tonitrus damage too

it's linear from 50-70, then linear from 70-99. 70 is a breakpoint, just like 25 is a breakpoint

25 STR is for split damage weapons, so it's not even really an issue of elemental variety, there are weapons only a STR/ARC build can use effectively. i'd only go 70 ARC if i was married to kos parasite
