I think the reason he cut off Blooky off is because he felt guilty about the fact that he had to leave him in the first place. Rather than dealing with it he just sort of ignores his conflicts. If you show him the key during the fight he will pretend it's not there. As for Alphys I think he let fame get to his head. It's partially that he's so consumed in himself and his career he forgot about his friends and family and partially he's trying to distance himself from his past as much as possible.

Even if you believe this its pretty clear from the way they went about it that they first and foremost wanted revenge, like everyone else in Undertale their main problem cames from being unable to let go. Yeah, Chara would of wanted to kill more if they truly hated humanity, but did they even know what exactly would happen when Asriel absorbed their soul? That was the first time a monster ever absorbed a human's soul so I don't think they knew they were going to be sharing a body at that point. They told Asriel they needed six souls cause that's what they needed. Chara had to, at least for a minute, put aside their hatred as a whole for the greater good of freedom (and they were gonna take out 6 humans as well so that was probably a plus).
