I haven't played in a while. I've seen you guys say saryn is trash now. I looked at the patch notes but I can't really figure out why because I'm not good at that stuff and i wasn't too familiar with her old skills either. Can someone please explain it to me? Also is ember good yet?

1. Miasma no longer nukes. Negative duration just makes it do less damage, overall it does less damage period, it no longer Corrosive procs, it no longer stuns enemies, and it'll do more damage if the enemy is affected by toxic or viral procs but it's still FUCKING TERRIBLE. Also the sound effect sucks.

2. Venom, which was renamed Spore, is mostly the same but the half-health procs only last six seconds and you need an AoE weapon to spread them and they don't always proc anyway. You can still kill framerates with it, though.

3. Molt is pretty much the same as always, Regen Molt is still fantastic, except you can cast Spore on it to do... something.

4. Contagion, renamed Toxic Lash, is still a non-toggle, own-frame-only melee damage buff so it's fucking useless. You can also use it to burst spores if you're a fucking retard who somehow can't hit them with your normal gun or melee weapon.

5. Just for kicks DE also increased Saryn's armor by a miniscule amount while lowering her health so she's actually less tanky in the same rework that says you're supposed to fucking get in melee range of shit.

Saryn is no longer the "press 4 kill every sub-30 enemy in the tile" frame.

Her ultimate now scales "properly" with duration, making -duration builds guttertrash. You can still make her work with explosive weapons to proc her spores.

Ember has taken Saryn's place as the trash nuker.

Miasma no longer interacts with gouged duration the way it used to so you have to build her around taking advantage of her entire kit. The result is you do more than press 4 with her, in fact you press 1 a shitload.

The downside is she sucks ass now and traded away instant room clears for better end-game scaling (which she is utterly outstripped in anyway.)

Two of her abilities are useless, so build her around Sonar or Sound Quake.
For reasons outlined above, Sound Quake is your safest bet.

Maximize power range, and go for efficiency and duration. Get efficiency high but keep duration above 100%, preferably around 120+.

Make friends with a reliably available trin or at the very fucking least grab a large energy restore blueprint from syndicates.

Any interception, MD or excavation, you're set.

Banshe can be built for 3 things: That one sleeky build, Area denial (sound quake) and damage buff (Sonar)

For area denial you only need range (Overext+Stretch), efficiency and energy so you wont have to break it mid-defence. One full charge is enough to do one excavation/MD point.

For sonar you need Stretch, Continuity+Streamline, Intensify, Trans Fort and an augment.

Not the person you're asking but I went with the healing ("countering" amirite?) focus and it's been pretty crap since I typically play Oberon or die directly through my shields anyway.
In the excav sortie today I was out of energy for like 15 minutes straight as Nyx because of all the parasitics that spawn later on; really made me wish I had gone with the energy restoring one, I'm trying to get it now.

Banshe's 2nd incapacitating enemies is nothing new, but usually it requires a recast, however enemies are stunned on re-entering the radius as well, so narowwing the radius with Narrowminded you can safely roll-in onto any enemy and will have 3-5 sec for execution with Covert Lethality.

So basically all this build needs is Narrowminded, but for extra cheese add in Continuity and Constitution. Dont forget efficiency of course.

Problem is with this build all her other abilities become useless because no range =\.

The sleeky part is in the dagger: I found out that channeled executions do not drain your energy, while giving you full benefit of the channeling mods, meaning Lifestrike will refill your health for free. Icing on a cake: you are invincible during execution itself. Use Dark Dagger with Veil mod to refill your energy as well and you can keep going forever. Dont forget to add Fury with Berserker (most executions count as crits) and remove Spoiled strike for speedy kills.

Right now, it depends. If you have a great need of energy or are a solo player, it would be wiser to go with the energy focus, Zenurik. It's probably going to get nerfed at some point in the future, though.

Vazarin, the healing focus, is also good. Having a heal on command function is very helpful, since most Warframes don't have that function, which forces you to bring along a lifesteal melee. The cooldown isn't too much of an issue since it's unlikely you'll need healing very frequently. Plus, it has instant revive capability.

Put yourself in the mindset of your focus ability being a simple bonus ability to complement your Warframe and weapons. The utility of Vazarin and Zenurik don't diminish in effectiveness with upward scaling of enemy health and damage.

I've actually had that happen on a Corpus spy mission- before I opened the first vault I saw a single growth of infestation on the wall in one hallway, and over the course of the mission the enemies spawning were gradually replaced by Infested (who fought the Corpus that were already there) until by the end of the mission the third vault had Infested roaming around instead of Corpus and there were growths on the walls and floors fucking everywhere.

It's super super rare, but it does happen as one of the faction invasion things- haven't seen it happen in ages, though, so they might have broke it/patched it out.

Ivara's grind is nowhere near as bad as Mesa's. At least so far.

Worth noting that 'how bad a grind it is' isn't just based on time. It's also based on pain in the ass.

Mesa was a pain in the ass since you needed to jump through hoops to get another helmet to add to the fifty billion you've already got. Ivara, you just run the same mission over and over.

I play solo, and just tab out whenever.

Sorties are sort of end game. If they were repeatable, I'd probably do a few just for the challenge of jumping right in to lvl 80 enemies.
