Why does the Railroad destroy the Institute? Shouldn't they want to either convince the Institute that Gen 3 Synths are people effectively and have a right to life or they should kill the Institute and take over the process of creating Synths.

Reread the vault terminals, even though everyone was cured, they still called themselves addicts and mutually agreed to rehab meetings. But the second people had the opportunity to do drugs, they immediately fell off the wagon and all died of drug overdose.

So really, after you cure her she'd be pretty fucking worthless if you want to stick to canon. You never helped her get over her parents. You never helped her get over the prostitution. The Railroad is hardcore about the Synths, they think they are humans capable of freewill and deserve to be free. Destroying the process of creating them rather than changing is effectively a genocide, just without the mass graves.

They seem really tough to deal with as melee for some reason. It's like I'm PUNCHING them in the face... why doesn't it seem to be registering damage?

This was an issue right up until I maxed melee and now I tend to one-shot Softshell Mirelurks, but every now and again, they do nothing but hunker down and move forward in their shell and it is frustrating as fuck.

Fallout 4 would have really benefited from a perk that let melee characters bypass armor the same way you do in NV.

I finally got around to going to the institute so now I've seen all of the factions.

Bunch of military dickheads that can't be compromised with and will fuck over every other faction if given the chance, as well as the commonwealth itself. They hate the institute because it has high tech. They hate the railroad because they're synths. And they will oppose the Minutemen for accepting ghouls, synths, and other such aberrations into their ranks. As well as just generally opposing any other militarized force.

The facility and research they've pioneered definitely needs to be protected, but the faction doesn't seem to understand what they're doing. They're a bunch of eggheads making decisions about who to kill above ground like it's a game. They're too detached from the consequences of their decisions. And they don't seem to realize that their Gen3's are sentient lifeforms. HURR I MADE IT SO IT'S NOT ALIVE.

Pointless faction that might as well not exist. Although I agree with them on the perspective that synths are deserving of individual rights, they'd destroy the institute for that end which is unacceptable. They're best left alone.

And how dumb is it to require local leader to build work benches. Trade Stands I can understand, maybe. but that many points into charisma just to utilize a major aspect of the game is pretty fucking stupid.

I'm having a bug with all my followers. When I tell them to come with me, their dialogue changes to reflect that they're with me, but they refuse to move. They just sit there. I can tell them to "follow" me but it doesn't change in the dialogue box, and they still just sit there. Firing and rehiring them doesn't fix it, and fast travel doesn't fix it.

Has anyone had this bug before? Do you know any console commands that might help?
