I gave Curie a Gauss so when she actually hits whatever she's shooting, it dies or gets fucked.
For example here she sniped a leg off an Assrapetron that was ready to pounce and kill me.
Sometimes companions get strokes of genius pinpoint accuracy, and then you WANT them to hit as hard as they can.
Plus she wastes maybe 1/3rd of all shots, which is pretty great.
Wish she engaged from longer range, but watching her go all combat sambo on people is also fun.

I picked up all 3 holotapes and listened to them even before getting the Brotherhood radio frequency

Thanks, I keep a .50 instigating sniper rifle for long range and the laser shotgun for close up. The laser shotgun is surprisingly effective, and i have a shitzillion fusion cells from never using energy weapons until level 45 or so.

so I copy over all the required stuff from the various sites
rename and etc

so I finally get round to editing the fallout4prefs.ini

to switch sD3DDevice to "ENB"

but it always resets? my settings back to my previous sD3DDevice (HD6950)and messes with all my other tweaks like shadow distance etc.

A) Is there a way to prevent the launcher from editing that file and fucking it up again, I've tried setting it read-only.

B) How else am I supposed to load it?

Only idea I have is:

As sort of an alternate 'legendary mutation' mechanic, once you get his HP down to 1/8th in the PA, the armor will drop to a knee and eject the powercore, which, instead of killing you, is just meant to serve as a 'flashbang' that inflicts minor Rad damage. Then Maxson himself will pop out with most of his HP and (relatively) lower resistances but an increased damage.
