Spriting (if you don't have the Scout trait equipped) and firing.

Grenades, power ups, crouching and jumping don't make you show up on the radar. If you don't have the scout trait unlocked yet I'd advise running (not sprinting, just the normal movement speed) to move about as it gives you the element of surprise in general.

Is anyone else not concerned that the main 20v20 gamemodes play like absolute ass?

The filler gamemodes are great (which is what I've largely been spending my time on), but Battlefront desperately needs a 2142 Titan gamemode or a legacy Conquest mode from the original battlefront series.

They do more damage when you lay off the throttle, which is more likely up close. Drop the throttle before shooting at any range though and you'll kill much faster.

Is there something wrong with the PC servers? Either matchmaking is fucked or the game is completely dead because every gamemode searches for 10-30 seconds before dumping me into a lobby with 2-4 other people and it never fills or gets started from there.

You haven't played the small maps lately? Radar+3rd person being able to see around corners lets you shank anyone once every 15 seconds, and if used right can kill 3+ people. Even in large modes I'm starting to see people jetpacking while charging and then smashing whoever is at the end of the jump. Fully charged only bodyguard at level 2 will survive, and it drops a personal shield in one go. It's better than barrage ever was, and even moreso now that barrage has worse stats than a thermal detonator.

Welp. I just experienced an imperial win on Endor for the first time.

Except I was on the rebel side. And the people on my team where probably the most unaware and stupid collection of humans in recent history. Nobody went after the objective at all and the Imperials won by a complete and total landslide.

This is so degrading. I've always wanted to experience in imperial win on Endor, but I wanted to be the one to push through and overcome the huge obstacle of rebel advantage.

Is this thread dead? Battlefront literally killed my PC. I was playing Battlefront and my mobo died such a violent death that my fire alarm went off and shit. The capacitators or whatever they are called were all burnt out and shit and the power surge killed my GPU as well. The game is such condensed shit that EA used black magic to kill my rig.

I don't like Battlefront because it doesn't do anything well. It doesn't do anything new. It doesn't have good gunplay. It doesn't have a high skill ceiling. It doesn't have many maps or interesting game modes on release. The vehicle spawning system is lame. Vehicles on rails are an abomination. Heroes are problematic, at best. There is no real squad play and communication among teammates is difficult. The partner system sucks. There is no real ammo management. Did I mention that there isn't much depth to the gunplay?

These are some pretty vanilla reasons why I don't think Battlefront is a particularly good game. I could point to about a dozen multiplayer FPS games that are better in each of those facets. Battlefront isn't better in any one facet of gameplay. The only thing it has going for it are decent graphics and the Star Wars aesthetic. This "game" is a blatant cash grab. I don't just not like it, I'm offended by its existence and I say this as someone that likes Star Wars.

Balancing in WA is awful, constantly getting into games where each AT-AT has lost 10% of health and at the last uplink, or is on 10% at the 2nd. Only have to look into teams to see 4-5 players with kills well into the 30s-40s with the other teams top players to struggle to break an even kd. Makes it hard to play more than 2-3 WA matches if your team is constantly getting raped by bowcaster jump fests and camping boba every match.

Also FS balancing is shit. Was on a team of 5 vs 7 as imps, literally got the only kill in the whole team. Even worse, when one player was added to our team (making 6v7), immediately after the next player got added to their team (so 6v8).

The trick to enjoying Battlefront is to not play it as if you are expecting a Star Wars experience.

Lots of people kind of subconsciously try to role play as a stormtrooper or rebel when they play. But in all honesty in order to get full enjoyment out of the game and to do well you have to treat it like the Arcady piece of shit that it is.

Run around like a chicken with your head cut off in third person mode and dodge and weave and fire from the hip all the time. Find out the cheesiest load out for you and abuse it all to hell. Camp hero tokens and vehicle tokens and do strafe runs at spawn points.

Yesterday I was abusing the bounty hunter trait card along with bowcaster, scan pulse, and jetpack. I was getting 9k to 10k points at the end of each round in drop pod.
