Has anyone else noticed a dramatic change in PVP in the last week? Almost no shotguns, very few pulses, I'm seeing lots of varied shit, people trying to get good with what they feel will be the new hotness after the patch

And every single one that isn't running Fusion/HC is fucking wrong. I have a garbage rolled Long Far Gone and a Hot Swap / Rifled Barrel / LitC Her Mercy, and that shit is fucking bananas already, let alone after the patch

Fairly new player here, so I'll explain it from my point of view/logic.

I tend to look at what Xur has, if I don't already have it I'll buy it if I want it/think it will be useful later, usually I'll get weapon regardless of whether or not I'll use it right now.

Then I spend the rest on 3 of coins and run strikes. Sometimes you end up getting the same exotic you bought from Xur, but if your like me you won't care as its going to have higher base stats usually and you can just shard one of them for infusing your pet exotics.

This week I skipped the hunter helm because I've got a hard on for don't touch me, I bought the fusion rifle and the stag because I didn't have either of them and then bought some 3 of coins.

I was actually a little lacking in the strange coin department this week so I've had to run POE a few times to get some more.

It's probably safer to hoard the 3oC. There have been times in the past where Bungie have made the engrams different between expansions and it's entirely possible they'll do it this time too. In all likelihood, they won't fiddle with it since engrams could drop Tarantella and the Titan chest by accident, already, but better safe than sorry.
