Anyone else worried that DS3 is reusing too many assets from BB?

The ground textures look the same in many areas, there is a huge door that you see multiple times throughout bloodborne, the sound cues are the same as in bloodborne, the hollow guys with armor look like yharnamites with different hair, the hemwick crazy bitches running around, the big hollow explosion guy we saw in the network test, etc etc.

That coupled with the fact that everything feels floaty because the animations are shit (especially the feet/legs that can't keep up with the character) is making me worried for DS3.

I don't want 5 more years of DaS1 pvp and BB pve.

It's good, but overused so the good players know how to counter it.

It has high damage for its swing speed, 1.5x damage modifier for its transformation attack, but it's not as fast as the saw weapons, and lacks range compared to other weapons. And it eats your HP.

But yeah, it's really good at destroying inexperienced players when paired with the Evelyn. You can chip away with the gun and trade shots during bullet spam and outdamage them, and you can trade pretty good if the other player has shitty weapons. You destroy people if you can back them into a corner or trap them and R1 spam. In 1v1 it's easily countered.

That said, Bloodtinge builds are pretty good. Lots of gun damage, Chikage, Bloodletter, and Bowblade, and Madaras whistle.. It's worth a shot if you like ranged fighting and hurting yourself on your own edge.

You might not have much say in that. DS3 is going to eat up a lot of the people we're currently doing online stuff with because Dark Souls inertia and I guess Dark Souls has to have relatively easy backstabs no matter what so that's what we'll be stuck with, swiveling for backstabs.

Wrong, it's been in development since Dark Souls 2 was released. It's only been under Miyazaki's supervision for a year because Miyazaki joined the project after he finished BB.

But, luckily, Miyazaki is somehow god and was able to make DeS a good game in less than a year, so that's all we can hope for. Also Tanimura made some pretty good dlc for 2, so hopefully he didn't fuck up in the year it was under his control, at least there was no shibuya.

Just get both. You get way more than enough chunks in the main game and DLC, and two rocks, to fully upgrade both. Farm the 20%+ gems in the DLC. Go chalice diving for 25% and higher gems if you want even more damage.

Use base str/skill for both and pump the rest into Bloodtinge until around 50. Chikage is still decent with base skill and top tier gems. Bloodletter is pretty bad untransformed so don't bother leveling up strength past 14 (the base requirement). Chikage and Bloodletter are a pretty good combo because the Bloodletter gives you a little more range and sweep, which is the main disadvantage of the Chikage. Also consider getting Simon's Bowblade because the charged arrow shots are pretty rad.

DaS 2 Is fine outside of two issues, Soul Memory which was a pretty big one and I can't believe they hadn't already come out with a patch that sets it to 0 and freezes it at that value because they already use Soul level, double redundancy to prevent grieving in PVP did nothing, since people running for the endgame weapons won't grind souls anyway.

Find a boss or a battle in the game (If you're doing a boss, I reccomend Maria or Orphan of Kos for maximum Kuhrazee) and show off your most amazing combos, skills, and techniques. Remember: Taking damage is not stylish. And gesturing to opponenets mid-battle while not taking damage is also stylish as fuck

Style over substance is the theme for this contest.

If you're going with a battle, why not make things more intense and pull as many NPC hunters into a single encounter as you can? Maybe even some PvP?

**PvE Battle Suggestion: Start with a small crowd, then use a hunter's firearm to "pulll" passersby into the encounter during the fight, or let passing enemies enter the encounter for even more kuhrazee.

**PvE Boss Suggestion: The Old Hunters has plenty of kuhrazee potential on its own, with boss battles like Maria and Kos having insane movesets that transcend anything seen in a souls game before. I heavily reccomend either of these 2 if you're looking for a good boss! But if you find something better or more interesting, please submit!

**PvP Suggestion: If you're going with some PvP, perhaps get some friends together and set up some kuhrazee pvp scenarios? Perhaps triple-threat encounters using the covenent system, adversaries, cooperators, and passwords, with NPCs spilling into the fight? Perhaps you could fight in the Fishing Halmet well while the host uses shaman bone blades on the fishie? Make it fun

Break out those werewolves, old hunter bones, ayy lmaos, tricked chikage r2s, and get CRAZY

The thing is, there isn't really anything about "needing" X amount of vit. It's just usually the best way to spend your points for the purpose of 1v1 PvP. While it's not really the case in PvE or random invasions, for 1v1 PvP determining whether to increase vit or a damage stat is really simple. An X% increase in total health is equal in value to an X% increase in damage dealt. The way scaling works when compared to vit, getting vit to 50 basically just BTFO's scaling stats. It's hilarious how much better vit is than scaling stats for most weapons. I assume this is because they balanced vit and damage increase for when you're doing PvE and are fighting multiple enemies. In this case, "X% survivability is worth X% damage" no longer applies. It also doesn't apply in 3v1 PvP situations where it's important to be able to burst somebody down in order to thin out the number of people you're fighting.

But yeah for 1v1 PvP, you get 50 vit not because it's "what you need" but rather because it's just a better use of stat points than getting 25 strength + 50 skill or whatever your end-goal scaling stats would be.

Damage output in SF4 was fucking nonexistent compared to every other fighting game, so it makes sense that they increased the damage. Zangief needed to SPD most characters like 8 times to win. Compare to Super Turbo where he needs to SPD like 3 or 4 times? Or Blazblue/GG where grappler 360s do like 35 to 40% life. Random pokes did dogshit damage in SF4. It doesn't stop soul memory, it just stops your character from picking up souls. So you can't buy anything, you can't level up, and it's fucking shit. You still need to cheat in 99 orbs to invade or good luck in the arena.

Lowest /average/ damage. Yeah you can get a hornet DMB greatclub and oneshot people, or Leo 2H Halberd get 1k counter hits, but most builds don't deal that much damage. Usually you got like chaos blades and estocs and spears, which just do not hit very hard compared to 3x 27.2% gemmed ANYTHING in Bloodborne, or Curse Weapon ANYTHING in Demon's Souls or RoBSOFlynn ANYTHING in Dark Souls 2, all of which are standard builds that you'll run into all the time.
