Okay guys, l really need help.
I have 100 hours on terraria, l know every mechanics in the game, but nothing about the weapons and armors. The best weapon l got is a megashark and then l stopped, l did good until hardmode started, l have an adamantium repeater and that's it. What do ? What weapons could l possibly get ?

There's tons of shit you could possibly get now, to the point where it's kind of stupid how much is available right at the start of hard mode. Fighting enemies in the ice biome in general can get you a good yoyo that causes frost burn. You can craft souls of light/night into keys and place said key in an empty chest to summon big mimics that drop good weapons in general. Beat the three mechanical bosses for a few more weapons and a better pick, then head into the jungle for chlorophite, plantera, the temple, then kick off the lunar/martian events....

Megashark means you beat the worm but probably not skeletron prime or the twins? Daedelus Stormbow would be a good addition. You get these from Hallowed Mimic, you can find them in Hallowed caverns or collect souls of light to make keys of light and place one in a regular empty chest to turn it into a hallowed mimic. You should use ichor or crystal bullets with your megashark and holy arrows with your stormbow.

After building some hallowed or frost armor, you can finish off all of the mech bosses to get a drax to start mining chlorophyte in the jungle for chlorophyte gear & the chlorophyte shotbow. From there on out it's a short series of bosses which unlock other bosses and new swathes of weapons

once you have the stardust dragon the moonlord is freeloot. build a house that is enclosed, put nurse in it, summon dragon, summon moonlord, heal yourself up whenever you are low, wait for dragon to kill moonlord (takes about 1 minute)

I've already built a crane to resupply my flying city, and I fancied the cargo containers that are in this picture. I can't figure out what he used to make the zipper-looking 'doors' to the containers, have been checking the block reference to no avail. Anyone in the general recognize it?

Yes there is, you can put the ladder itself in front of one of the shelves with a rail above them all. Chain pieces for lower wheels and different background walls and platform types for upper mechanism and other details.

I think the "doors" are just the wall itself with a single column of blocks taken out of it.

And they don't look that good, they'd look better if they had something like a metal or dungeon platform as a handle or padlock on them, and also hinges in the corners or similar detail. Perhaps a plate/label on one door too, you know, to simulate those massive stickers or metal plates with shipping info/container number etc.

Not every game needs to insert the title of the game into the game. But If you want to make a boss, heres an idea.

A larger golem like boss but it has you trapped in an arena that damages you via field that damages you very little and knocks you back in reguardless of shields, as well as the field becoming smaller slowly. If the field gets to a point where it closes in on itself, it auto kills you WoF style, same thing if you tele away.
The attacks would be a fist that charges at you Twins style, fires at you golem head style, and moves at the speed of skeletron.
The boss would have 3 segments to kill, each one having a weakness to a damage type that would cause that damage type to have a 100% crit rate and cuts its defence to 0 to that type, summoner would deal neutral damage to all of them but the defence would only half and not 0 out. It would be RPS style
Once you kill a segment, the battle becomes easier in that sense of the battle. Kill the melee, less contact dmg. Kill the range, projectiles hit less. Kill the magic, it moves and attacks slower to the speed of king slime.
Its drops would be similar for all classes but the damage type would be to the class of choice.

Drops, all of them are summons, but for different damage types. They all act like the stardust guardian in attacks but can see through walls and auto attacks. It dose some damage, as well as giving hit things a debuff that causes them to take more damage from that type. The more summons you have, the longer the debuff lasts (min of 5 sec and is increased by 2 sec for every one after the first) and the more damage per burst.

The server I was on certainly had at least one player town near the initial spawn and more were marked on the map, but that was part of the problem. I'm seeing things like "server has 90 people" and shit, is this really true? That there are no big servers with thousands for example? The community seems very splintered, and now that there's Wurm Unlimited half of the people I see are on private servers. I thought this would be a bustling place of everyone coming together and working for a common goal or in warring factions, but it seems like a bunch of sparsely populated ghost towns. Do you think they fucked the concept up with Unlimited?

All my knowledge is from watching a few hours of Youtube videos so I might be wrong, but it just seems that every Unlimited server is "ok, these 10 people who played the game for 50 years now have decided to just fuck off and do their own thing, can't get into it because you're new so fuck you"...

And I've tried searching for actual cities to no avail, I think it's because there's no reason to actually be in one? I honestly haven't seen anyone mention any kind of trading or player interaction once in like 8 hours of goddamn videos, just grinding and crafting and building for themselves.

It's nice overall, I think you should cement the look of the castle walls and especially the towers before you do anything to the foreground layers - the walls just look too simple and monotonous, you need some kind of a brick and reinforcement combination that makes sense and looks good. Check this for example, this is Torre de Belem, it's almost entirely made of a single material, but look how varied it looks, it has all these Moorish ornaments, windows, borders, etc.

I would suggest at least separating the vertical volumes of towers from the wall itself as if they weren't only going towards the outside (which can't be seen) but the inside too, or making a stone rampart with arches and pillars.

Don't make everything so big and a box. Try not to have hard edges, things look nice when they flow like natural land. Use more block variety and mess around with paints. Windows.

Legitimately just heard of terraria otherworld, looking around and videos and trailers and wondering: What difference is there from regular terraria besides the graphics? It looks like they're just remaking the game except naming all the zones differently and changing the graphics to be this weird painting style that looks beautiful in some parts and ugly in others. I think if you have in selected in your hotbar it still gives you extra seeds and plants even if you didn't destroy it with the staff.

Laser gun is fun for awhile but it's so effective it gets slightly boring eventually. I wouldn't recommend it. Playing melee or magic is more fun and more challenging.

How do I build a proper city, /tg/? Whenever I start thinking about anything that's not a small build I get so many conflicting ideas.
