Guardians do, but you never see what the ships can do. That said, given the UNSC's spacefaring capability shown from Halo 4 onwards, they would slap shit out of any faction in Destiny.

To be fair with that, it was after the Queen used mind weapons to fuck the ship and also after you disable Dreadnaught's super weapon.

Seeing as we're going to have the Cabal emperor come in a future expansion and get summarily fucked in the ass every Tuesday, I don't think the Cabal will be much at all.

Anyone else feel like they like Destiny a lot because it's basically the closest thing to their ideal game, even if it's not all that good? Like, if you let me design a game completely to my tastes, it'd pretty much be Destiny but, you know, less shit.

In retrospect I can see why people hate it. There really isn't much to do. And the story does suck ass. Even when I was a kid I hated the Halo story, but stopped caring less about that and enjoying PvP more, so I guess that's why I ignored it. Looking back at Destiny PvE they really should have had more group integration to the story etc and made everything less vague. The "ending" story missions in this game don't even feel like last bosses. TTK changed that a bit as the "intro to TTK" missions up to fighting Oryx for the first time were really fucking well done and it seemed like for once we had a purpose.

That said, I really like how the movement feels in this game and the animations. That's the stuff I find addicting. I don't even care about gear really anymore. I just play most of the time because I like to try new guns I get in my travels. As much flak as this game gets, it's pretty easy to come back to. Everyone says they hate it but week after week I see those people on (myself included).

It's also strangely got the most broad spectrum of players I've ever seen. This married couples' house I stayed at in Colorado when I was travelling across country about 6 months ago was way into it as well. My friend actually met them through Destiny and that's how we were able to make that happen. Most of my real friends still play it as well, and often.

It needs tweaks and more customization options. They say in sequels to this we are going to be able to carry over our existing guardian, but for what purpose? They don't have names. The subclasses and such are presumably going to be reworked as to not just be doing the same thing. I'm also hoping for more of an open world. I understand why we can't go around an entire planet on foot. That'd be stupid. They need ship combat, too. Honestly if they just made it an FPS Star Wars Galaxies, I would be set. Player housing, guilds, crafters, etc.
