A few days ago I asked what Fight stick would be good to buy and an Anon suggested I buy parts and make my own. I found some but before I buy is there anything I need to know?

The package I have my eyes on is
1 - Encoder Board (No Solder)
1 - USB Cable
1 - 5 Pin Cable for the Stick
13 - Wire Cables for Buttons
1 - 5 Pin Joystick
8 - 30mm Push Buttons
2 - 24mm Push Buttons
All of these are non Solder

As far as I know these are generic cheap buttons with no actual brand. Should I go for the branded parts or is it okay to start with these? If there is a difference in overall quality, is it significant enough that a first time fight stick user will notice?

Anything else I should know about before I drop money on this?

Not sure who should I main for SFV.

I really liked Nash, Necalli and Cammy. I really want to like Ken but there is something about him that feels quite off, not sure what. Maybe the hit detection for the most of his normals and HP Shoryuken?

I also liked Ryu until they fucked him up in the second beta.

Also off Airborne ver of V-Trigger, you might as well just go for damage instead of wasting it on a mixup attempt like that. His teleport is mad readable now. If we're talking the webm in that post as well, both are considered a combo, so the cross up doesn't matter. If you can do it midscreen, then maybe for positional purposes, but you already end up behind the opponent from Airborne V-Trigger so damage just seems to be the better option than mixup.

Capcom's just been pissy with PC users cause of the datamining. And they'll continue to be until launch. I really hope we don't get fucked for beta 3. should show that in the webm. because both strings were actual combos. All the more reason you do cr.fierce > st.strong into sonic boom. Course it's practical. cr.fierce is also a good anti air that's cancel-able into sonic boom.

Melty Blood is a bad game
