Kind of, there's retarded AI you gotta protect at times and having a lot of movement really helps, especially since they often have optional side missions where they can't take damage or you have to beat things in a number of turns and you get bonus items for it. The knight dude is godly at choking points too, since he has a skill that prevents enemies from passing spaces adjacent to him. The game feels more RPG than strategy though.

Hey, I got my copy of PoR in an anime convention. Dude wanted to sell it to me for like 500 pesos (about 40 bucks back then) and I manage to bargain it down to 400 pesos (30 bucks) because the box was damaged and the disc had white spots.

Just finished FE11 and I don't know why anyone would recommend it as a starting point. The game didn't feel very fun and more of a chore to get through. About to start FE12 but was wondering, is this game actually fun? Enough that I'd get into it to care about my characters? If so, then I'll start on Hard otherwise Normal just to finish the game. I've played FE4, 6-11, and 13.

Also since this game likely also has reclassing in it (which I did not like from 11 but found all right in 13), I'm planning on not reclassing in this game. I reclassed a bunch in FE11 just for the hell of it but it felt so pointless.

It's simply as you said. In a game where many of the females either have personality quirks that may not appeal to everyone or don't have much characterization, Oboro is neither. She's very safe, having nothing that could really make anyone dislike her. Personally I think she's a little too "safe" but I expect she will be the breakout female in the game.

I hope they release some book dedicated solely to Fates, think of it as a "The making of FE Fates" book, and they include all the personal information about the characters. Maybe not necessary all characters, but top 10 from each gender is good enough.
