The very last thing that happens in GZ is Paz involved in the downing of an aircraft.
The very first thing that happens in TPP is Mantis involved in the downing of an aircraft.

Ishmael and Ahab are from a story about chasing a whale. A symbol of this appears during the hospital escape. It appears in the form of a Mantis creation - a fiery eruption that swallows a helicopter. The whale being chased in TPP is actually the truth of the ending of Ground Zeroes (which was referred to by Kojima as the "epicenter" of the story)

In the first hallucinated "Peace" medical room scene in TPP, a possible explanation for how Paz survived is given. By the end of those scenes, we willingly dismiss that possibility, despite the fact that there are other scenes in which memory and interpretation are confirmed as unreliable. (See the difference in the two versions of the awakening - The audience accepts the discord in that scene but not the GZ helicopter scene.)

A subtle piece of Mantis-like imagery is that when we see Paz in the medical room, she sits on the bed so that her feet are suspended a foot off the ground. There is also a contrived light source in that room coming from above the sink, that casts the shadow of her feet onto the floor, compounding the visual of her feet not touching the ground.

One of the things that Paz says in Ground Zeroes is that "Pain is in the mind."
One of the things that Paz says in The Phantom Pain is that you are in her dream.

Another small detail worth mentioning is that all the fiery apparitions that Mantis creates are symbols of Snake's past. The white horse of the Boss, Volgin, and the helicopter being swallowed up. Then, the big hallucination is another symbol of trauma from Snake's past... the phantom Paz. The "V". The medical room appearances of Paz may simply be another part of the hell ride that Mantis is taking Snake on.

If you're using Snake, Stun Arm is the best for FOBs, in my opinion.

It's the cheapest arm to equip and the most practical. Although you need to know in advance, the range is completely different on FOBs to singleplayer - it's 20m instead of 50m.

Rocket Punch would be next best.

Jehuty is expensive and I don't think has the utility to justify it.

Dunno about that. After they initially call for backup they'll say "Negative, we can't spare any resources right now" and then you'll have to wait I think 10 minutes. The blockade timer would probably end before they can spare 100 people.

I had no idea how broke the rocket stun arm is, re-eliminating heavy infantry is a breeze now.

I think a while ago anon tested a bunch of knockout times and found that pretty much all CQC lasted a pretty short amount of time (I think 20 seconds, maybe) and tranqs lasted a few minutes, maybe. I can't tell you numbers, but my point is all the knockout timers fell into one of those two values, and I'm willing to bet all stun arm knockouts last a few minutes.

this reminds me, when i was doing mission 30, i kept restarting because i was messing up, every time i did, i would hear an explosion when i got near the base.

after 5 retries i got a good run in, and i realized those explosions were caused by an enemy spawning on top of a mine.

tested this later by luring enemies to their own minefields, if they get blown up by the ones they place, no one cares. they dont even check the body even if the guy next to them got blown up
