I started playing about two weeks ago. I'm making Shaman, picked up Totem Golems / Tuskar Totemic hit Rank 15, but card packs have given me 2 Goblin Blastmages. I've already crafted Harvest Golems / Piloted Shredders, should I go mech mage?

So I've purposely not bought Dr.Boom because I expected Blizzard to get their jew noses out of their ass and balance the card.

It's been a year and like 4 months and this card still hasn't been nerfed? How fucking autistic is Blizzard? Dr.Boom should be a 8 drop or the bombs should be 0/1s

What the fuck is this shit? This is the third time this has happened in a week. My opponent plays Unearthed Raptor then the game just freezes. I'm still able to hover my mouse over the cards and creatures and get details about the cards. It's like the game is eternally stuck on my opponent's turn.

It's a shitty solution to a shitty problem that shouldn't exist in the first place. Seriously, this is just shitty game design, especially on the part of Hunter and Paladin

Why do Hunters need such strong burn cards? Do they need KC to be that good? Do they need Animal Companion to give 3 minions better than anything at 3 mana, Huffer being straight retarded? Do we need cards like Arcane Golem in the game? Does Eaglehorn Bow need to be the second best weapon in the game? Blizzard keeps trying to throw control hunters a bone but no one gives a shit. Either you play charge minions or you play Highmane, either way you're going face.

Why do Paladins need the best 2, 3, 6 and 8 drops in the game in Minibot, Muster, MC and Tirion? And their whole package of 4 drops to boot? Why are Muster and MC allowed to exist, they're so far above the power curve if you made an OC card like that you'd get laughed at.

Worst part is, those two decks do completely different things and require different answers, so you can't build a control deck to beat both.

Mark my words, in a week or two ladder will be full of renolock faggots and we'll be cursing the day Reno was put in this game.
Now warlocks can lifetap with zero disadvantage - they gain massive card advantage and then just heal back to full, clear your shit with shadowflame and win

It's shitty game design, but its basis is in a flawed perspective of how Blizzard invented the game.

They thought minion combat would reign supreme, and that gameplay would be 95% minion fighting other minions. What they didn't anticipate was that going face is so good.

Take the charge mechanic, in other card games, Charge isn't that big a deal, because your opponent can react to it, and having an instant card, or an on board effect, that allows for dealing 1 damage instantly, isn't so fucking hard to come by.

In HS, it doesn't fucking matter how low the health on charge minions are, it is guaranteed to get its one attack off, and most likely the equivalent of two attacks because of how weapon classes deal with them.

Blizzard has come out time and time again saying they want HS to feel like a physical card game, but they have continued to make decisions that go against that. Were HS a physical card game it would have been dropped like a box of rocks years ago.
But it's not.

Getting really good cards is half the battle so if you're playing with trash cards it's decent. I only got rank 9 and I have all the decent cards.

For those who don't know. In the WoW:TCG the design goal for cards that cost 5+ mana is that they should be game changers.
A 7+ mana card that goes unanswered should win you the game.

In fact, there was a spell that cost 15 mana that said "You win the game."
To generate mana you had to sacrifice a card, every turn, and there were very few cards that allowed you to generate more than one mana per turn.

That 7 mana card is absurd in a non-aggro meta, though the HS version would make it random and as such you would have to lower the mana cost.
The fact that the WoW:TCG also had no upper cap on minions for your side of the field made this card stronger if you needed to prolong the game for some reason as well.

Now for clarity, there was no durability in WoW:TCG, rather weapon (and equipment) destruction effects were somewhat more common.
So to equip gorehowl, it cost 10 mana, as you can tell in the top left.
It had 15 attack strength, as you can tell in the bottom left.
But that "0" in the bottom right, meant that it cost you 0 Mana to swing Gorehowl, meaning every turn you could swing it for free (most weapons cost between 1 and 3 to swing).
And if you had one fo the many ways to make it so you were allowed to swing weapons more than once per turn, Gorehowl could instantly kill your opponent.

Oh yes, I left that out.
Most equipment could be used by several classes.

The big exception were the guns, which were Hunter only.
I also left out another big thing about weapons, if you didn't use a weapon during your turn, or you used another method to "Ready" the weapon again after striking with it, you could strike back with it.

To give an example. I have Hemet's Gun equipped here, but I don't bother shooting with it, because I plan to exhaust my hero to play a trap for free.

My opponent's Leper Gnome hits my face, I pay the "0" cost to active the Gun when he hits me, and I hit the Leper Gnome back for 1 damage.

In short, weapons were FAR better in the WoW:TCG, assuming you could manage your mana and your use of cards.
