Personally I still think Dyna has the better effect overall, and that interaction with Ties is just a niche upside if anything. Like I've already said, I don't really have a problem with the other anon running Barrier AND Dyna, my problem was that he was running 3 all together for no real reason

although dyna does have a better effect, barrier basically does the same thing against the meta, and doesnt hurt your deck at all. the plus side of still being able to special summon via call/rebirth, block golem, brethren, and soul charge makes the deck flow a lot better, which is usually all anti meta decks have going for them.

im leaning towards 1 dyna, 2 barrier. doesnt that feel like a comfy number?

Magicians get most of their effects when you have another magician in the other pendulum zone. Dracoslayer would turn them into vanillas and their best search card, Pendulum Call, conflicts with Dracoslayer trying to set up.

He's good if you really need a low scale and just have high scales and clash with no wavering. He's more good for being generic to XYZ/Synchro/etc with if you already have the dracoslayer in hand, since one can just loop into

It's got 4500 attack points with no restrictions apart from its initial summoning requirement and even that can be cheesed with the right cards. What more could you possibly want?

Except pendulum summoning did ruin yugioh. You have literally infinite resources as long as you're using the mechanic, the only drawback is you -2 because of your scales in order to gain access to these resources. No other TCG has this level of resource recursion in it, MtG has a small balance because of mana, FoW does something similar except you can't get mana screwed, etc. Pendulum summoning might have been considered fair if yugioh's best monsters all had to be drawn into first, except you don't have to they all sit in a separate deck ready to be accessed when you're able to and with relatively easy requirements to meet, like Ptolemaeus into Infinity, Rafflesia, Castel, BRD, formerly Exciton and Shock Master.

Card economy is all kinds of fucked up because of it, it's like Super Rejuv and Spellbook of Judgment except as a mechanic.
