How do i get venders to stock 200 of my prefered ammo?

on one of my saves the venders have 200 .45 rounds and 200 railspikes, with 10-20 of every other ammo.

I'm contemplating how to overhaul the settlement building system. First order of business: Interior walls. Also better-looking, less-scrapped-together options so you can really feel like you're rebuilding the world.

Then what we've gotta do is get a slightly more complex and challenging system of resource management, while also reducing the chances that you'll be fucked over by things outside your control. Expand settlement areas to encompass bodies of water more often, for instance. The added complexity should be some basic factorio style shit, where most engines require fuel and you have reason to pipe pressurized water around and that kind of thing.

Then, and this is the important bit here, we need to give the player more cool stuff to do with settlements. Still not sure on exactly what I want here. Maybe you can build labs for some sort of science system, and then use 'em to research cool new weapons n' shit for you to have and use?

Finally installed the layered armor mod, really surprised to see that there's actually very little clipping in most cases. Dresses look fine with leg armors, most outfits look fine even with chest armors. It's completely baffling that Bethesda only allowed 5% of their outfits to have any armor slots, when that was a highly promoted feature.

Is it impossible to get out of a romance and then go to non-romantic idolized affinity?

I romanced Piper, but the romantic dialogue is too over-the-top for me, so I want to go back to the friend-zone. I got her affinity low enough so we broke up, then once its back to 1000 she wants to get back together, and every dialogue option goes back towards the romance.

Is there a legit way out or maybe a console command that makes the game forget the romance ever happened?

Letting you train up settlers as mercenaries that you can send out on expeditions to gather resources might be kinda cool, and they could help defend the town if the town comes under attack.

The looting is different than Skyrim in the fact that you often want to pick up useless junk to scrap down for crafting weapon mods / settlements.

Low levels think like looting jewels in Skyrim - you want something that's low weight but worth a decent amount of caps - OR is low weight but has valuable components such as adhesive etc.

Before stopping at a store and selling more valuable things make sure to deposit all your junk at a workshop.

Red Rocket is a good starting base if you've never fucked with Settlements before - it's only one building and playing around with it will get you a feel for building before actually building up Settlements popper. Full-on Settlements like Sanctuary attract Settlers and in general become little towns / communities that you build up and keep supplied / defended.

Aside from being pretty cozy and interesting in a "player-built-town" sort of way building up settlements can do some interesting things. Generating caps, providing combat support in the form of local Minutemen and Artillery and even having localized vendors so you don't have to keep going to the main cities are a few of the more useful things Settlements offer.

If you can't aim for shit and don't want to use melee then consider a VATS based build. You'll need to splash a few more points into a combination of PER, AGI and LCK than other builds but they can be quite powerful. In all honesty it would be a shame to miss out on some of the cool / interesting guns in the game just because you're not that into thegunplay.

what are your hopes for future DLC?

I want a joinable Enclave faction. I mean, I'm a pure, untainted human in charge of the most advanced science center on the planet with unlimited access to a literal immortality serum, the enclave has to see some value in that, right? knowing Bethesda however, any enclave will just be a hostile BoS with like, plasma guns or something in case someone thought joining the railroad was a good idea.

How does level scaling work? I noticed so far it seems to work skyrim style where some areas are just hard coded to have tougher dudes while others it depends on when you visit them.

DLC that expands on the endings of each faction.

If you sided with the Institute you have some quests to set the policy of the Institute and continue synth production or not, eventually dealing with a civil war inside the Institute as some directors agree with your choices and others disagree.

Railroad deals with how the absolute freedom affected the synths and how some ended up as raiders and made the commonwealth worse, it's up to the player on how to stop them(or not stop them at all)

BoS you have the settlements revolting because they can't keep up with the demands of the BoS and it's up to the player to decide between their home or their loyalty to the Brotherhood

Minutemen have the player turning the Minutemen into a standing army and convincing allied settlements to send representatives to the castle and resume talks of forming a government, it's kind of like the peace conference in skyrim where the representatives will start saying on how the government should work, its limits and what not and it's up to the player to agree with X opinion or disagree and go with Y decision or convince them of a third option, make it so that in the end the government has its baptism by fire as some gigantic raider group invades the commonwealth so the ADHD kids don't complain that they didn't shoot someone in the face not even once in the DLC

Too bad it's never going to happen because it requires time and effort but it's fun to speculate

This is why I don't like how the railroad deals with synths. Every synth that knows it's a synth seems better off because of it. Like Harkness and Nick. During an Institute quest you have to pass a persuade or threaten speech check just to get a group of minutemen to stand down, otherwise they tell you your rank doesnt actually mean you can order them around.

Minutemen are literally the worst faction in the game
