So, who's taller Toriel or Asgore? Toriel's taller when the battle sprites are side-by-side, but Asgore is taller in the overworld sprites. Plus I'd assume that the battle sprites are all based on different perspectives and aren't designed with the intent of being seen next to each other, scale-wise.

I think a lot of the people who want to think Sans is a pillow prince or just needs to work on developing a sexual relationship don't really realize what it's like to be so lazy, depressed, or simply bored with life that you can't even put forth the effort to lie there and take it. Working off that, Sans and Papyrus have a lot of integrity. Papyrus is the only monster that won't kill you when you fight, and generally never falters from his optimism and belief in others. Sans makes a promise to Toriel to protect you, and does his best to do so until he has to step in, and when he does, he comes at you at full force.

Undyne acts tough, but truly just wants the best for those around her. She gives piano AND cooking lessons, she risks her life to save the Monster Kid, she trains Papyrus because she doesn't want to destroy his dream but won't let him in because she doesn't want to see him hurt, she resolves to help Alphys become a better person when it becomes clear that she needs help. Heck, she even gives you a spear to protect yourself with because she won't fight an unarmed opponent.

Muffet is really dead set on getting those spiders out of them ruins.

Mettaton makes his own justice. Alphys wants to make things right and to bring herself to justice, but is unable to, until she gains the courage to do so.
