Aggro hunter is a face deck that doesn't care for board control outside of protecting its minions, and wants to do as much damage to the opponent's face as quickly as possible.

Tempo hunter isn't a thing, but tempo decks in general are also pretty aggro, but they want to establish board control quickly and generate value via extremely efficient trades (for example: Abusive Sergeant on a Nerubian Egg to trade into the opponent's 2-drop) to gain incredible tempo.

Aggro is just playing fast threats disregarding card advantage and board control with the intention of scoring a quick kill before they become overwhelmed.

Tempo is similar to aggro but the key difference is that they achieve the same goal trough board control, so their minions can go face easily without needing them to be as fast as aggro.

Control is a deck that tries to stall the game as much as possible to get into the late game where they shine the best thanks to big minions and card advantage.

Mid range is a deck that has a bit of everything and can adapt to control, aggro or tempo playstyle thanks to playing on curve high value minions/cards.

Am I understanding this correctly? Am I missing any archetype?

Aggro isn't disregard everything and go face. Tempo decks are still usually aggro decks. Aggro decks are just aggressive decks that try to kill the opponent quickly and generally have a very low curve to achieve this.
Decks like face hunter are hyper aggressive decks, and while they're still aggro decks, not every aggro deck plays like that. For example, tempo mage and zoo are still aggro decks because they have a fast gameplan and a low curve to achieve it

We're already starting to see that disgusting trend however.

Recent additions to the Dragon archetype gave us two taunts that filled the two drop gap Dragon Priest needed, as well as that four drop gap dragon decks in general needed. The only problem is they accelerate the state of the game and the need to kill faster. A strictly-better Silverback Patriarch a turn earlier and a Fen Creeper that costs one less in moments where the four drop is practically game-deciding really flips things Australian. Most decks aren't able to easily deal with these things so early when they're too busy trying to deal with some of the other things these guys can drop as well, such as valuable 3 mana 3/4s and maybe that Northshire Cleric that got buffed up a bit. The general value these cards receive make them absolutely horrifying no matter what deck you're really playing, maybe outside of Warrior.

I'm not saying dragons and Dragon Priest are oppressive, but they're going on the right track of being the death of an archetype with the way they're being designed.

Value generally means getting the most out of a card. For example, using a flamestrike on turn 7 to kill 5 minions is really good value.
However, it's a terrible tempo play, because your opponent then has initiative to just refill the board.
A good example of this is playing a 2/1 on turn 1 against a class that can deal 1 damage with their hero power. It's a bad idea if you're looking at it from a value perspective, because they can just use their hero power and you've wasted a card. But from a tempo perspective, it was a great play because you forced them to use their hero power on turn 2 so you get guaranteed turn 2 initiative and made them waste their mana. Sap is the prime tempo card because it always gives you card disadvantage but if the opponent just played one big minion last turn you essentially made them waste a ton of mana and set them really far back.

Most oil rogues actually run a minion-heavy oil with just 1 oil right now, because it's more consistent to play minions over hoping to be able to combo specific stuff. Big Vancleef when dropped early can be often a win condition by himself. I'd heavily consider him, but if you don't have him, just toss in another 3/4/5 drop for consistency.

Real talk there is too much healing in this game. It used to be a big deal to be down in life now you halfway expect a 8 mana Brann/Healbot combo on a Malygos Warlock. Then you have another healbot to deal with, then possibly a Reno. well i just started playing HS after not playing since naxx. i'm only 400 dust away from crafting the "new" control warrior deck.

Shaman is still far away from being one of the best classes, but they did get their fare share of buffs these past seasons and I do belive they reached the point of being a "playeable" class.
Obviously, if you want to compete in legend or tournaments, its not recommended to play shaman, but just calling them worthless is understimating them far too much.

Waifu Regent is underrated in Midrange pally. She helps the curve a lot I find. And it can turn just hero powering early on into a fairly threatening play when your opponent considers quarter masters.

Minibot turn 2, waifu turn 3, juggler + hero power turn 4 is a nice curve that allows you to fill your board with threatening shit but not invest a ton of mana into doing so.

Even against control, your job is mostly to survive and not to mill. Sometimes you get early naturalizes and murlocs, and get in some really good milling, but Druid just isn't as effective at it as Rogue is. You have great ways to stall and heal, and have two poison seeds into starfall clears. You shouldn't hesitate to use naturalize to get rid of a dangerous minion even if it wouldn't mill the opponent, surviving is more important than milling. Just through the way the deck plays, they will reach fatigue way before you. If you have both a healbot and a murloc in hand, you need to consider which to panda back, but if you have no panda and can use healbot to heal then do. If you can fit a pyromancer in here try to, because it clears the board with poison seeds and a swipe as well as serving as early game removal.

Against aggro, the deck is good if you play well. Pandas are for healbots or low health deathlords, healing touch can be used to heal deathlords, and you use murlocs to search for removal or heals. Starfall can be used without poison seeds against most aggro decks.

It's not an excellent deck and won't work past rank 8, but I've been playing it for a long time and it's fun when it works. Some more universal tips:

>grove tenders are good early game minions, don't save them for milling just play them
>bounce your grovekeeper for an extra silence or two damage if you think it would make an important difference, don't hesitate
>this doubles for big game hunter against handlock
>if you think you're going to play tree of life next turn, you still may need to play a healbot or healing touch now, consider whether you'd survive until next turn
>innervate is best saved for an early poison seeds into starfall
>always carefully consider whether you can make the safe enough without using AoE, wiping as much as possible with your AoE is crucial

But it's not a pyroblast because if your opponent has at least 1 minion out trying to deal 10 damage to face is not gonna happen, and since it costs 10 mana unless you're already winning chances are they're gonna have some minions out so late in the game. I guess it can be used as an act of desperation but the fact that it takes all your mana makes it really suck.
And if your opponent has no minions out after you play the archthief then getting the +10/+10 would have done the job too
