How would an UT Anime be structured, /utg/?
I think it'd be tricky, but possible.
Let's open up none of the episodes with an OP, first off. Just the usual "UNDERTALE" and straight into the action. First episode would have a name selection screen enter "Chara" or some shit.
First 4 or so episodes would be focused on the RUINS, then SNOWDIN. Maybe reduce it to 3 if you could pace an intro and the RUINS well enough to fit into one episode. Possibly have Frisk accidentally kill Toriel and learn about SAVEing when he reloads to fix it.
Next, have Frisk head to Waterfall without dating Papyrus, after he fights him. Sans does his usual spooky shit, etc. etc. Undyne fight, Frisk bails out, the usual. The main part of Hotlands is rushed through fairly quickly due to most of it being pretty sparse aside from the Royal Guards and the Mettaton events, so that wouldn't take long. Episode for the CORE, and then one full episode dedicated to the Mettaton fight.
New home's walk is just an episode of buildup, ending with Asgore dropping his watering can and backing away as usual.
Asgore fight, yadda yadda, Frisk resets after Omega Flowey and you get one or two semi-filler episodes with him redojng things, doing the papyrus/undyne/alphys dates, and then a full episode or two for the true lab.
Asriel fight happens, Frisk goes to talk to Asriel and then resets again, since he didn't save him.


Add a new OP, episodes after that consist of Frisk trying every variable to save Asriel, before slowly going insane and doing a genocide run.

I feel like it would need two parts/seasons. First half is the pacifist run, second half... may have to be a botched genocide run.
Or they'd just tweak it so it's mostly pacifist but Frisk learns about Chara and EXP/LV along the way. They make references to what would've happened in the genocide run (Undyne the Undying, Mettaton NEO), but it still ends on the comfy positive note.
