I've gone to two majors this year actually.

I'm not saying random seeding is the best method for making a bracket but it is a perfectly valid one.

I used to go to MTG events all the time and I'd end up paired against my friends pretty consistently. It happens, you're at the mercy of the RNG. Everybody in that community accepts it so I don't see why players in the FGC get so bent out of shape when random seeding is used.

In just the screen? The response time and any image processing the screen goes through. Monitors have better latency because they don't do any image processing. If you set a TV to game mode, then it minimizing any processing so most of the latency will just be the response time.

CRTs have pretty much instant response time and no processing so they're instant.
