I enjoyed D3 when Reaper of Souls came out but now that balls deep in PoE for the first time I cant see myself ever going back to D3 because of how easy and simplistic it is in comparison.

It's a shame D3 is such utter garbage. It'd be nice to have something to play between PoE breaks. Sadly the only choice is really Grim Dawn, which is passable, but I've yet to find any build I really enjoy - the new patch added some neat features though. Beyond that the only choices for modern hack and slashes are Van Helsing and Torchligh 2, which both are not very good. Then again the whole subgenre has always been pretty empty of quality titles beyond a few big names.

I had a similar problem with grim dawn, every build i tried was shit in some way. Last patch i did a totemer shaman and im surprised how well it worked. The devotion shit is looks like its buffing most builds except pet ones, at least the passive triggers work with everything it seems.

By the time Synergies came out I had gotten bored of all the classes, and going back all the fan-made classes are either terrible or just broken as hell.

Arcanist and Shaman, the two most recent classes, are definitely the most fun in the game and synergize well with everything. Nightblade is okay but only works with a few other masteries, Soldier is bland as hell, Occulist is boring aside from one combo build, Demolitionist doesn't really work well with anything else very well.

whats worth it about synergies is pretty much the added endgame dungeons, specially the one with dragons, and the scaling balance (like making focus scale dot) that makes most fixed damage skills shit on vanilla. tho the necromancer custom class is decent in its own way, takes until level 60 or so to be fun

Why are people excited for blasphemy?
There are already multiple ways to apply curses. Manual casting, cwdt, curse on hit, certain uniques and vaaled glove implicits.
Blasphemy just takes up mana reservation that would otherwise be used for auras. I dont get it.

Because casting a curse takes a lot of mana as well. You already took damage on cast on damage taken, + you might cast it in a poor position.

The uniques have huge drawbacks.

People are excited because GGG is planning mana changes to melee, and if you're melee it's a very easy way to have perma damage reduction around you such as enfeeble or a perma vulnerability around you (which is a much bigger damage increase than hatred).

The reason why vulnerability is better than hatred btw is because hatred is elemental. And elemental doesn't really scale well because you can't get penetration because you will sacrifice other stuff for it.

And seriously with skills like ice crash costing so much mana there needs to be some changes made to melee mana cost. I'm not playing a caster melee after all. Mana cost never was such a problem because you used to be able to just leech it with 2% if you had like 5-10% of your mana remaining after auras.

D3 was a mess. For some reason my Q9550 and Radeon HD 6870 had frequent frame rate drops and it struggled getting adequate performance until I made numerous tweaks to make it work at 60 fps on high settings with shadows off. And it looked like crap. On the same system I could play PoE on highest setting with everything on with no drops. Well until they added that shitty chaos deg ground that somehow eats up my fps to 50 fps.

That aside the gameplay felt very straight forward. Every class only had one build and every item upgrade felt kind of the same. It didn't had any end game as well except paragon levels which was just grinding Act 3 inferno over and over. The story was also especially cheesy and a bit stupid at some points. How they killed Deckard Cain and how Zultun Kulle was handled, it seems like the cast and character you're playing are really dumb.

Not sure how that game even got players still playing it. Reaper of souls adverts over here were advertising it for 60 euro. Who would pay 60 euro for just one new act if the product was really meh in the first place?

From what I've seen, each blade will rotate about you 5 times before disappearing, which is once per second. Also, the skill itself hits as fast as Incinerate, because it's an AoE, not projectiles. The blades are just decoration.
And you can have up to 50 of those things, which is 100% possible even with max block Cybill's.
So 50 blades hitting 5 times per second for up to 16 HP per hit per monster...
If you can actively sustain 50 blades, that's 4000 HP/S per monster.
