Thats all fine and dandy, but he cut his current fic of mid story, not even giving it closure or some sort. He could have at least finished the shota saga before shelving it.
And even then his next step was teen Asriel, which is kinda the most popular Asriel type round the fanbase, so shelfing it just as that was about to begin soon is also dumb.
I dont think anyone would have stuck around for bara Asriel, never saw that much a following for that one. Point of the matter is, from personal experience on writing fics, you really dont leave shit unfinished. All the people interested in it will just go away during your hiatus while doing some other project and then you will have no desire to finish it to begin with, meaning you wasted all that time writing something for absolutely nothing.
If his other visual fic bombs then it will be even worse for him, cause then he flunked one and the other dissipated in the interested audience due to the hiatus.

Then again im not his mom, if he wants to risk it its his deal. Just giving some thought as someone who left a few writing attempts in the dust and then regretted it.
