Holy fucking christ these defender respawn times are atrocious though. Literally WHO could have possibly programmed it that way and thought it was okay?

So to help put this in perspective, I used Snake and went to training on my own FOB, level 47 security across the board, 4 platforms

My blockade time with a level 86-88 security team is 18 minutes.

I set Snake to invisible and wasted no time spawning in, and then I just bolted directly from my wormhole and took the shortest path possible to reach the core 4 platforms away.

It was a pretty straight sprint. the time when I reached the door was 15:47 remaining.

The slowdowns I had during that were a couple of guards coming down the stairs (If you get within like 3 metres they can still see you so you have to punch combo them.

And also a landmine right near the core door that I just had to eat to get to the door as quick as possible.

As it was it took over 2 minutes with the fastest possible way to the core and almost no resistance, so 5 minutes isn't that crazy but that motherfucker would have to be booking it pretty hard around the guards and security systems if they're maxed out.

Yeah, you can use stealth mode to evade being spotted by the intel team. Use it frequently before being spotted, and you'll last longer. Except for when there are special alerts, I don't think it makes a difference when there are active.

The entire place is swarming with drones, cameras and soldiers, they seem to have much higher vision range and peripherals than normal enemies and with combat suits they're immune to all forms of tranq weaponry including, apparently, sleep grenades. Is it actually possible to perfect stealth, no kills even a medium level FOB?

I just wanted to get my dudes back - the guy has a furry profile picture and I don't want to leave them with that degenerate. ;_;

On another note, I noticed earlier that the UN-ARC PT had its cost bumped up to 3k, when it usually costs 2840. Well, I'm here in my menu and the price has fallen back to 2840 again. What gives? I know attachments like grenade launchers cost GMP, but what about muzzles/ silencers/ barrels/etc.?

And also what the hell is the point of the PT anyway? It doesn't seem to have any unique flavor text. Far as I can tell it's just a free *5 ARC at half the cost.

the PT is a short barrel conversion, the HB is an LMB barrel conversion, short barrels have higher firing rates and better auto-aim, LMG barrels have a closer shot grouping and a middle ground in range between the PT and the usual.

Really though most of these variants only exist for parts to swap out in customization to create a gun with all the best traits in one.

Im very high ESP rating, and i almost never see people with nukes, the nuke tab is either empty, everyone on it has no nukes for some reason, or anyone with actual nukes is already invaded. The lists it generates is based on your ESP rank so the higher you are the less retards with their "my first nuke" you are going to see.

Well, generally speaking, the reasons you don't want an overly-short barrel is for long range accuracy, but a well-made gun can compensate for that to an extent, and moreover, accuracy for an assault rifle is somewhat relative. Boxes are actually a bit overpowered on FOB's, if you get spotted by guards you can pop on the box and jump out of it, they'll investigate the box and never see you sneaking away. they also make you invisible to UAV's and cameras when no moving.

If you change it in single player, the changes update with it for your MGO character.

Exactly the same, except sprinting is not endless anymore. As for the sliding thing, it feels like the maps are designed so that that never happens because I've never had it happen in MGO.

Yes, but it depends who you're paired with as to whether it helps.
