Oh, and how many jackets / coats does this game have? I've got a vague idea of how I am going to make the hat and gasmask for my Kreig Commissar outfit idea, but not sure on a coat. I'll be using more armor pieces mod to wear armor with it to complete the look as well.

Holy shit this game is so fucking lazy.

You manage to scale the mass fusion building and find some unique legs, only to discover that they just share the combat armour model and the reason for that is because they are just combat armour with a unique mod on them.

Just like every-fucking-thing else in this game, the uniques are just mods that go on vanilla gear.

This has allowed bethesda to plumb new depths of laziness henceforth thought unattainable.
No longer do they need to hand-make special gear.
No longer do they need to ensure there is a good selection of weapons and armors.
No longer do they need to hand-make quests, just radiant that shit and "reward" them with a levelled set of power armor at the end!

What a wonderful age of gaming we're living in.

Talking does nothing. You can trade with it and I imagine its carrying capacity is pretty high. The collisions to initiate conversation are really finicky with it though. Obviously not something intended. You often need to shuffle around a bit in front of it to find the sweet spot which is annoying.

Also if you change followers hair with showlooksmenu it breaks them, so I dunno how to do that. They probably used TesVedit or something to change Piper / Curie up, but thats just a guess.

Well we're at Fallout 4 and it's clear Bethesda barely remembers what happened in the previous games, why should anyone else?

T-60 power armor, Jet and Enclave armor in pre-war caches, Nuka-Cola advertisements on a Chinese submarine, factions with unreasonable motivations and shallow choices, while still being handed the keys to the group in the process, janky and seemingly-incomplete settlement building, the game's a mess even ignoring anything about the overarching story.

The gunplay mechanics are good and the world is fun to explore all the same, but it's lacking in a lot of areas Fallout is typically strong in.

I think it's mostly just humorous shitposting, but they have a point. The FO1/2 origins were much more vague, allowing for greater inventiveness.

To be honest though, I had no problem playing as Nate. A hardened veteran determined to get his son back, discovering he's a sociopathic fuckup, steeling his resolve, and seeing it through to the end when he can start righting his son's wrongs.
