You don't really get "placed", this isn't league of legends or something. Also Silver/Gold etc. don't have an influence on anything, it's just an icon to go with your Rating.

What matters is your rating. If you are >1400, you are Silver. And you will be matched with people around 1400. There isn't a special threshold where when you reach Silver or Gold, you will only get matched against Silver or Gold players.

Doing solo stuff is becoming more of a chore than a challenge now because I'm stuck with this shitty ice rain build for any form of durability. Once I use backstep, fire step, and frost step, I'm forced to basically eat everything unless I time fire tab properly with the trait or use ice tab to avoid ridiculous damage and ranged attacks are utterly brutal to fight.

I need some tips from better KFMs

atm, my only problems in PvP are vs Assassins and Destroyers, but the latter I can still beat reliably.

The problem is that I have no idea how the fuck we're meant to do anything to Assassins. My gameplan is to play passive and QE around them until they Decoy, then bait out escapes. Rinse, repeat

The problem is that I have pretty much no way to force Assassins out of stealth except unless they're retarded and walk near me to get sweeped, or something. And they can basically be perma-stealth. Tab first time I daze/stun them, their 2 when I knock them down, their Decoy when I fuck up for even a moment and forget I'm not allowed to attack them at all. Their tab into 1 which is unavoidable. Also, they can open up with stealth which can't be stopped because it skips my dashing 1.

The fuck do I do. All I can ever do is hope I get lucky with a few ccs and force their escapes, which results in a strong combo, but it's never enough to get more than 50%, and by the time I get past their 6 ways to stealth, I'm at the point where I'm in no position to get past them again for the remaining 50%

For the record, before people say anything, yes, I tab vs flashbang, I try to bait out/use my block-break on their decoy, I sweep the leg when they invis before me if I get the chance. This shit doesn't work

Assassins have good cc and options, but their combos require a fuckload of setup for pretty much negative damage and reward. They're just lucky they're really fucking annoying to fight against, now that I've had the chance to play something other than Assassin vs them.

That being said, Sins still have a high skill curve, but their skill tree is god awful

I have points left over where I'm just like "what the fuck do I do with you" and just throw it something random that I might use incredibly often, because I feel obliged to use all my points

60% of the tree is actually detrimental to a lot of your best combos if you put points into things. Some skills don't even change, some remove combos because all points do is switch them from one cc to another (ie. daze to knockdown, for example, meaning you can't airborne off it), and a lot of it is just worthless as far as I'm concerned.

Pretty much the only thing holding them back from being able to contend with FM, LBM and Warlock for the #1 spot is the bullshit skill tree.

If they haven't hit you within .5 of your block, drop the block. I've done that and watched them do a normal RB instead of the guard break they wanted to do. Then rape.

Proc one of your skills like blade toss (Soaring Falcon for some fucking reason) to slow on hit so when they stealth you can just backstep and wait for them to get out of it. They'll probably kunai you so hold your block up when they're not in range, as you can still see their silhouette.

Put a point into your 3 for a wide ass knockdown, which takes them out of stealth and if they're spastic retards they'll waste a flash grenade you weren't even in range for.

Sins are faggots but in pvp they all do the exact same thing as each other because Westerners have no original thoughts and take builds from some site instead of making their own based on their playstyle, so once you know how to deal with that nonsense you can pretty much kill all of them.

I don't pvp unless it's a daily because I don't like pvp in and of itself. The first thing for BnS pvp is to know your kit. There is a distinct difference between your pve skills and your pvp skills, but reaction time is mostly the same, if not arguably more straightforward in pvp due to human error.

There are a number of class-based mobs in every area, who have the same skills (just in far fewer number) as the class they're meant to represent. Test your dodging/countering on them, and when you fight bosses try to stay on the boss the entire time by dodging/countering (Q/E and whatever your block skill is depending on class) the exact moment the red aoe indicator fills up.

Can you cheese pve then go and be a god at pvp? Fuck no. Can you cheese pvp and be a god at pve? Still no. But it's a start.

Additionally, you could just not do pvp. You're not going to missing out on anything until about level 38 when arena gives you like 2g per day if you do all of the daily quests, but most of the gold comes from tag matches where you'll win one of them sooner or later because one of your allies has a mozzarella class.

You need to participate in 3 1v1 matches, but only one quest requires you to actually win a match, and you'll find someone worse than you eventually. Other than that, feel free to not touch it at all and not be affected in any way.

Current arena is as imbalanced as it's going to get, so if you can do reasonably well right now, you're probably going to do really good when all of the kinks and patches are worked out.
