The game pretty much forces you to take wep perks to boost wep damage.

Also it's just leagues better if you get one that's either explosive or glowing. The additional damage per shot really boosts the ouch factor.

I was picturing more of a sealed vault that went from reenactment to actually splintering and having different groups fully emulating the people they were reenacting.

They get in these big fights but no one ever gets hurt, they just play dead and everyone goes along with it unquestioningly.

I mentioned this idea way back in a New Vegas stream, focusing solely on Medieval reenactors, but it could be expanded to more historical periods.

Im at the point in the story where you first go into the institute, so no late game spoilers please.

So out of the 4 factions (B.O.B, Railroad, Institute, and the minutemen) What faction should I join? None of them are really likeable. But, I have to choose. BOB seem too nazi esque, but almost seem alright, I don't really agree with the railroad, the minutemen are boring and don't do anything, and the institute are sad hermit scientists who want to bring humanity into the total wrong direction.

How to unlock the Minutemen route:

-Do Taking Independence quest
-Do Old Guns quest
-Have 8 populated settlements
-Optional: Build the teleporter with the Minutemen
-Give holotape(if you don't know what that is yet, don't worry) to Sturges
-Work with the Institute until the "Battle of Bunker Hill" quest
-Free the synths instead of giving them back to the Institute, kill the courser with you
-Go back to Father and tell him you're done working with him
-You'll get a quest to talk to Preston, do that

There, a sure way to fire the Minutemen's route and you don't piss anyone off(except the Institute, but who cares)

When I return to her, the first set of dialogue options I get is in regards to siding with the brotherhood, I can say I want to stick with the minutemen, but she won't let me turn that quest in until I say I'll side with her.

What exactly counts as a "Populated Settlement"? I've only really built up Sanctuary and Castle, but none of the little settlements you go around saving from various threats, like Somerville Place, Oberland Station, etc, do I have to build stuff for these settlements, or is it fine as long as there's the default 2 or so people inhabiting them?

Is settlement building fun if you're not a minecraft autist? I'm 80 hours in, I've seen all the endings, and I'm pretty sure I've done all the quests. Settlement building is the one thing I haven't put much time into.

They really gutted roleplaying in F4. After beating New Vegas I was immediately thinking of ways I could play the game differently, which quests to complete in a different way, fun new character builds to experiment with, but F4 really doesn't offer that because I know I'll just have to play through the same >go here >kill stuff linear quests all over again.
