So I was digging around in Only You Recross' files and found this. So it's not just a different artist's interpretation of Ragou, I assume the pretty boy version is his past self and the rugged bruiser is his current after being corrupted or something.
That being said, the art of the bosses in this game is pretty awesome. I might just play it for that. Tiger Joe has also always interested me. None of the girls look great though.

I'm not that far into it, but it's a pretty bog standard plot besides Tiger Joe and some of the enemy characters. You're a high school aged martial artist that's basically just Rouga from BBA whose older brother, a world champion martial artist, suddenly reappears after being missing for years. Around this time, the main character gets a weird mark on his hand that gives him demon powers or something and basically everything in the world starts trying to kill him. Tiger Joe is some badass who appears out of nowhere who inspires him to fight to protect the women closest to him. Ragou is (I'm assuming) a martial artist with the same demon mark as the main character who became corrupted after using it too much.

Gele's complete indifference to Noce's utter devotion to her is also comes off as a dark reflection of those relationships.
A big part of Rance's character is that he takes all of his relationships for granted, even the ones that he actually values. It's pretty much the only part of his character that has even slightly improved over time.

I think the main theme and Japan's theme music are both incredibly catchy.
The CORE route is actually decent.

We got Kou too. So that's only Uruza left. When we get her too, I'll start clearing the dungeon maps which I intentionally left for the completed team.
Kou is supposed to be a tank but she's worse at that job than Arietta who you get at the start. Kou gets 8 attack and 4 defense while the other one get 10 and 5. Our princess has 2 range and better resistance though. She also the only character other than Rance with S talent so I guess she's supposed to be overleveled to be useful.

I think the talent ranks it gives the most important characters in VI are perfectly fine measurements.
Sill and Kanami are B-class since both have 40+ caps but no level 2 skills.
Shizuka, Maria, Urza, Patton and Gandhi are A-class since they all have 40+ caps and level 2 skills.
Rance is S-class because he has an infinite cap and a level 2 skill.
