I really like Varus and his kit/playstyle but he's clearly a low tier pick at the moment. Would having some of his abilities scale with both AD and AP a la Ezreal make him more viable or just busted? Why does everyone level Q first on Bard? I know it makes the stun longer, but the laning phase is basically the only time you can use his Shrines to their full potential. Shouldn't you level W first then to keep your adc in lane?

People are going to try the new Poppy, they'll think the ult is funny or they'll find the Heroic Charge fun, and they'll probably keep playing her for about two weeks. I'm curious in terms of those support items. Support items has 2 final builds now right? ones active is placing a ward and the other is its own effects right (like face of the mountain and its shield effect)?How should I know if which of the two should I build? Because honestly, both of the builds are useful.

Also, how's fiddle? New jungle items and masteries seems ok with him, based on my observations anyway.

Bard is my most played champion, and I really love him, but how the hell do I actually do anything with this champion? My winrate with Bard is 31%. I mean, I love him, I really do, but I wish I could have fun and not lose 7/10 times I play him?

Building ap is useless, because of shit scaling. His Q is unreliable, because even though it's basically a stun, good luck hitting anyone actually important in teamfights, because you will a majority of the time be fighting in a lane, and there'll be minions all over the place cock blocking your Q. His heal is useless, because outside the laning phase it heals for literally nothing and is used as a shitty half a second speed boost. His E is fun, but unless you're with a coordinated #lcsbigplays team it's also useless, except for maybe getting your chimes faster.

I love him, and I can't wait for the Snow Day skin, but goddamn if he isn't useless. My second fav support Nami I have a 72% win rate with, as a comparison.

She's surprisingly good because the positioning of the walls means you've got this perfect square of tentacles.

She's somewhat resistant to poke because of her healing from the tentacles and she's difficult to dive, but she lacks all of the hallmarks of a good midlaner (ranged waveclear, assassination, long range poke).

If you feel like pissing around she's perfectly usable mid, but not amazing.

What's the best way to build mid Varus? I need to learn AD mid laners, and I think he's one of my best choices. Considering that it seems like a smooth transition from playing nothing but mages, and he's gotten stronger as a mid laner with the new preseason changes. What Varus skin? I don't care about skins, but from what I've gathered and been told it seems like Varus is essentially AD Xerath now. He plays similar to mages in some ways, and since AP items got nerfed there's even more reason to pick him. I played poppy from time to time, and in game she wasn't that bad, just old models.
and the mechanics were kind of fun, but I agree they didn't match the game and they were too stupid and simple, also they weren't fun to play against and she had near to no countermechanics (other than "punish her early").

The splash art was bullshit and anyone who pretends he liked it is a hipster. Also the new poppy is too anime-ish, but still the skills seem interesting and the particles of the hammer and armor feel more clean. But still that anime fang triggers me.

I played both sion pre and post rework and I like both of them, with the second one matching more league's standards.
I think the rework will be a nice one and it was really needed. Ignore the hipsters.

I have a 67% win rate on Bard, you just need to get good. His Q is really hard to learn, but once you do he has a shitload of spammable CC. W is legit bad, max it last, unless you want a lot of lane sustain, in which s second point in it early will help. E is for roaming, either along or with people, as it's the fastest way around the map. It also makes Bard really hard to chase. I've done some good backdoors by getting through the enemy jungle at superspeed with a teammate.
