Trying to get VNR to properly hook Quartz!! over here. The introduction was fine but once the game actually started it went nuts. The problem seems to be that the floating status info is constantly being translated, which fucks everything up.

So I went over to ULMF to see if someone else had the issue, and they did, and I got a "Scripts.rxdata" file that Game.ini says goes to Data\, cept there isn't a Data folder, so I made one in the main folder, still doesn't work. It's supposed to basically remove the status info so it's not being updated every frame.

I'm pretty fucking ignorant about this stuff since VNR usually just works. Is there somewhere I'm supposed to put the dang thing that I'm just not understanding? Do I have to extract the .exe/files inside the .exe and replace something? I WOULD ask these questions on ULMF, but I'm on the moderation quere for posting, and have been for 3 weeks,

1. Use Decrypter (see OP) to extract everything from Game.rgss3a and take extracted folder into your game folder.

2. Rename Game.rgss3a (_Game.rgss3a or something) so the game would take scripts and pictures from folders which you extracted previously.

3. Copy files with translation/whatever where they supposed to be.

4. Play.

pardon me if my google-fu is lacking, but did the livemaker engine (ie the one used for Princess Sacrifice) ever get translated? It looked like there was some kickstarter to help make tools to translate it a few years ago, but there's not much info about all that. I was mostly wondering because I was interested in making an h-game myself it looked like it would be a better choice than using something like Tyranobuilder or Twine. I've got a problem with VH, it seems like menu button (default X) keeps being pressed and doesn't react to actual input. Only every time I alt-tab, it opens/closes menu, as if the button got pressed.

On some games you can press F4 or F5(Hell might as well test all the way to F8) to get a higher resolution. You can also sometimes change the resolution in the options. Point being if you increase the resolution before going into fullscreen you might get a better picture as they sometimes code it in that way. Also note that few rpgmaker-games actually compress higher res assets to use on different resolutions.
